The late Choi Jin Sil has left behind a memorable body of work that serves as a true testament to her legacy. After cementing her place in the Korean entertainment industry with a string of hits such as Jealousy (1992), Star in My Heart (1997) and The Letter (1997), Choi boldly stepped out of her usual sweetheart roles, playing a lovelorn divorcee in the 1998 melodrama Memories at a time when divorce was still considered a big taboo in Korean society. Director Lee Chang Soon and writer Jung Sung Joo, the successful team behind the explosive hit series Cinderella (1997), continue to exert their powerful synergy in this riveting tale of love, betrayal and forgiveness. Also starring the beautiful Ko So Young (Operation Makeover) and then-budding actor Kim Seung Woo (Hotelier, Mr. Duke) in his second collaboration with Choi since pairing up on the big screen in the blockbuster romantic comedy Ghost Mama (1996).

Jung Ho (Kim Seung Woo) is a struggling music composer who barely makes ends meet for his loving wife In Young (Choi Jin Sil) and their seven-year-old son. As money tightens, In Young offers to go back to work - which doesn't sit well with Jung Ho's ego, creating a massive tension in their marriage. Soon they agree to separate with their son placed under Jung Ho's custody. In Young quickly lands a job at her old advertising company though she keeps her divorce secret. There she meets her boss Hyung Joon (Son Chang Min, My Fair Lady, Medical Brothers), a faithful husband who discovers of his wife's extramarital affair, and finds a renewed passion in the arms of In Young. But In Young still carries a torch for her ex. Meanwhile, Jung Ho struggles with his feelings despite having found a new relationship with Ju Hee (Ko So Young). Can In Young and Jung Ho rekindle their old romance and give themselves a second chance?
