It's all good

This album has a totally different feel from her first album, but I like it. It gives me a different variety of styles and I think that's what keeps this second album interesting. I especially love Mermaid and Ai no Tameni ~Lover's Splash Mix~. When Aya sings Mermaid in that tone and flow, it just makes me feel uplifted. Then there's Ai no Tameni ~LSM~; the instruments used in this song is so happy; I think it beats TaQ's Absolute ~Enjoyable Shopping Mix~! And since this is a limited edition release, you get the Ai no Tameni PV and some various clips of behind the scenes, which I wish was longer. I guess it's a Japanese trend to not show a lot of behind the scenes. Anyways, you won't get the full experience of Ai no Tameni without seeing the video. It's so lively and upbeat. Good stuff from Aya! |

A must have for Ueto Fans
|
This album includes most of the songs in the Pureness live tour such as Mermaid, Message and others.... Message is particularly my favorite within all the songs Ueto has by now. Ai no tameni is pretty good too, there is a change of style in this song. It is more obvious in the MV since its a lot more cheerful, using more light colors and stuff comparing with the dark and gloomy feeling in previous MVs such as Pureness and Message. Anyways, just the cover and the photos inside is enough of a reason to buy the album. |

Aya's new album is just awesome! It starts off with her new single "Ai no tame ni" really cacthy song. Track 2, "Okuru kotoba" her first cover song, really comforting song, Track 3 "MESSAGE" the best track of the album the lyrics are just beautiful and the melody is great too! Track 4, "Aozora" again, another very good song. Track 5, "Kansho" a very good song with relaxing slow parts and the guitar parts are very cool! Track 6, "MERMAID" again a great song with a cute summer feel! Track 7, "Taiyou to tsuki" a relaxing ballad. Track 8, "PERSONAL" beautiful lyrics + beautiful melody = beautiful song! Track 9, "Binetsu" a great pop song with a spanish feel to it, very detailed background music. Track 10, "Kiseki", one of the best tracks in the album, pop-ish song in the lines of "Pureness", "kizuna" & "Hello". Track 11, "Silence" a new mixed version for a very great song by Aya! Track 12, "Steppin' Out!" very pop-ish song, makes you want to dance and jump everywhere! and the album ends with a bonus remix of "Ai no tame ni" with a very summer beach party feel and a rather cute ending to it! I reccomend you buy this limited edition including a bonus DVD with the PV for "Ai no tame ni" before it goes out of print! |

Quite good

I'm not very good at reviews today but I felt like this CD deserved a review. So here goes. Anyway I have Aya's first CD and I enjoyed watching her in the movie Azumi. This second CD of hers is a pretty good follow up to the first one. Some more of the pop sound that she's made before, but don't get me wrong that's not a bad thing. Popular music has two courses that it can take, A=really bad churned out stuff that sucks B=High production value pop that it very listenable to and fun, Aya's stuff is almost all in the catagory B. It's mostly good stuff. Only on two songs does she get a little strange. I will explain, She injects some kind of spanish sound in two of her songs, I personally can't stand to listen to anything that even remotely has a spanish sound. So that kind of stuff kind of put me off, but that was the only sore point for me. On a whoe it was quite good. |
