Starring Naoko Iijima and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of the popular band Smap, Messengers is a delightful commercial comedy that entertains from start to finish! Naomi (Naoko Iijima) is an employee in a high fashion company who gets unceremoniously tossed out on the street when her employer, fashion label "Enrico-Dandolo", goes under, taking its ritzy expenses-paid lifestyle with it. Left with only her car, Naomi gets into further trouble when she runs into Yokota (Hiroyuki Yabe), a bike messenger who owns a delivery service called "Tokyo Express" with pal Suzuki (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi). As penance for her actions, Naomi is forced to full in for Yokota, a life that's far more dangerous, difficult, and sweaty than her previous one. The grind reaches her, but somewhere along the way, she's able to find satisfaction and even pride in her new job. But can she and her bike-riding cronies take on a competing delivery-by-motorcycle service in a grueling race? And when she's offered a return to the high-fashion world, can she give up the aching muscles, sweaty delivery runs, and her budding romance with Suzuki for a return to her cushy former life? Messengers attempts to answer those questions in hilarious, entertaining, and above all crowd-pleasing fashion!
