Fans and filmgoers came in droves to pay final tribute to the King of Pop when the film was released internationally on October 28, 2009, and during its limited 2-week theatrical run, it grossed over US$250 million to become the highest grossing concert film ever. This is it offers one last chance to get up close to Michael as director Kenny Ortega edited from hundreds of hours of precious behind-the-scenes footage shot in high-definition between April to June 2009.
