This is just ....wow. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Let me say this first, this album is a great improvement over her My Story album. I enjoyed My Story, but a few of the songs I never listen too. This album though I can't skip any songs because Ayumi's vocals are just amazing and I enjoy the more mature sounding Ayu. This album is just filled with her powerful vocals that bring the words of the songs to life. I have never listened to a more moving album. The dvd is absolutely filled with great music videos. My favorite is Bold and Delicious, not only does it showcase some of Ayumi's powerful vocals, it just shows how much Ayumi is a beautiful and talented singer. So show Ayumi some support and buy this album because all she does is get better with time.

semi-good Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
some of the songs are pretty good, but it is not the best of her albums tho. If u r a big fan of Ayumi, you should get it, cox 2 different covers and photo albums are collectable.

A mature sound from a former teen idol Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Confession time: I have never been a fan of Ayumi's material before, so it was a huge shock to me when I heard this album and really enjoyed it. The buzz that is going around is that Ayumi's losing her idol status, and I think this is true, but due to Ayumi herself getting older, looking older, and her fanbase moving on. The music itself is better than ever!

What suprised me was the variety of sounds on this album, tracks like 'Alterna' move away from Ayumi's usual sound, infusing rock influences, with far more mature sounding vocals. It is the highlight of this album for me, along with soft ballad 'Rainy Day', and title track '(Miss)understood'.

What's more, with so many music videos released from this album, the DVD version is a wonderful purchase. They range from calm and serene ('Rainy Day') to weird and surreal ('Ladies Night'). I've been converted.

HIGH EXPECTATIONS!!!!!!!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The singles Ayu released this year, namely STEP you/is this LOVE?, fairyland, HEAVEN and Bold & Delicious/Pride were outstanding and much better than those released last year. Rainy days is a smoothing and outstanding ballad while Ladies Night is a unique and catchy rock song. Though i have not heard the rest of the songs, i'm confident that Ayu won't disappoint us. (miss)understood, the title track, is sure to be a great song and everyone will surely enjoy it. Being the current reigning queen of Jpop, the expectation of this album is naturally skyhigh. (miss)understood is sure to hit the 1.5 million mark.

Amazin!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
People who say this album is bad have their standards set WAY too high. Honestly this album is one of her best to date. The single songs are great already, and almost all of the new additions are amazing. Ladies Night is quite unique; i've never heard anything like it before. (miss)understood well deserves the title track, everything about it is fantastic. In The Corner sounds a little funky, but the chorus somewhat redeems this song's replay value. Both interludes are well composed and worth listening through. Criminal is another rockish, and very powerful song; 2nd best to (miss)understood. Beautiful Day is alright, not as catchy, but still worth a listen. rainy day is rather repetitive yet the tune is very sweet and soothing. This album is a must buy for every ayu fan!!

She's back! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
There had been rumours that Ayu was on her way out after her sales dropped earlier this year. "MY STORY" failed to impress, and so everyone had been waiting for her 8th original album to see if she really was losing her touch. So has she?

Personally, I thought her single A-sides this year have been very poor. But her B-sides have amazed me. "Is this LOVE?", "ALTERNA", "Will" and "PRIDE" have been fantastically written pieces of music, and completely unique. Ayu's Rock style is becoming more and more powerful, and her recent ballads have been purely incredible. All of these are included on this album, with some more surprises.

"Ladies Night" is an interesting song, with a little rapping from Ayu as well as some English lines. It's kind of techno-ish and fun and very unusual. "(miss) understood", the song, is possibly my favourite on the album. It's a fabulous Rock song with real soul. Ayu's vocals are at their peak as she flows through the calm verses and then smashes into the chorus with her power. "In the Corner" is an well sung track in which Ayu branches out into an R&B style. "Criminal" is deep, powerful and eerie. "Beautiful Day" is the most uplifting Pop-Rock song I've ever heard. "Rainy day" is stunningly beautiful, with Ayu's mark all over it.

Add these songs to this year's single releases and some great instrumental tracks, and you have a superb album. No matter what style of music you like, there's at least one track you'll love. Her voice is the best it's ever been, her lyrics are deep and touching, her style is all her own, and she will not disappoint you. She's come so far from the little squeaky-voiced Pop Princess she used to be a few years ago.

She is the J-Rock Queen. And she isn't going anywhere just yet.

Ayu has delivered awesomely in the last year. With her four super-singles, and amazing PV's, you can't go wrong ordering (Miss) Understood.

All of the PV's included on her DVD are spectacular, and the new songs really prove to be good, from preveiws. I highly recomend this to Ayu fans of all sorts.

New year, New begining Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ayumi Hamasaki did quite well for year 2005 with the released of 4 singles namely "STEP you/is this LOVE?", "faiyland c/w alterna", "HEAVEN" and "Bold & Delicious". These 4 singles consists of rock, ballad, pop, traditional and other elements that the fans are quite accepted all her good work. The preview of "Rainy Day" and "Ladies Night" makes this album more and more interesting and the fans will be dying to get this album soon. The contents of the DVD are another good stuff that really attractive because it contains all the PVs for all the single that she released, except for will, and the making of those PVs with 2 new PV certaintly a MUST for ayu fans
