Mo:tet is a electronica project trio formed by Yoon Sang, superdrive, and Kayip in 2007. The members of the band show very high musical ambition, choosing on their debut album to experiment with music elements that leave the mainstream and commercial paths. The group references minimal, ambient and pop music as well as natural noises to come up with a broad spectrum of new sounds.

국내 전자음악의 선두주자 윤상,
프로젝트 유닛 ‘모텟(mo:tet)’으로 새로운 음악의 지평을 열다

mo:tet 은 yoonsang (윤상), superdrive (강주노), 그리고 Kayip(이우준)으로 구성된 3인조 유닛으로 2007년 결성되었다. 각자 다른 음악적 배경을 지니고, 다른 문화에서 생활하고 활동하며 주로 인터넷에서 파일을 주고 받으며 작업을 하였다.

이 앨범은 "소리" 라는 에너지에 대한 이해와, 잡음으로 분류되는 소리들 부터 자연으로 부터 오는 소리들의 조화와 융화, 그리고 그 과정과 진화를 음악으로 현상화 한 결과물들을 담았다.

mo:tet 의 음악적 정체성과 색깔은, 멤버들 각자의 음악적 배경이나 취향에 배반되지 않는 범위 안에서 만들어 졌으며, minimal 한 ambient 부터 noise, 그리고 pop 까지 이르는 다소 막연하고 광범위한 스스펙트럼에서 서로 공감할수 있는 요소들의 최소한과 최대한을 반영하였다.
