Monday Kiz Single - Incompletion

Once intended as a full album, Monday Kiz's latest release is now a single album - deliberately incomplete for a reason. Monday Kiz wasted no time establishing themselves as talented musicians with the successful releases of two albums, Monday Kiz Vol. 1 and Monday Kiz Vol. 2 - El Condol Pasa. With fans and critics waiting for their next move, they were determined to roll out yet another album of their own. When member Kim Min Soo was seriously injured in a car accident, however, the duo was forced to abruptly stop all activities. Monday Kiz Single - Incompletion is released as a special single bearing the wounds of the tragic event - incomplete, yet full of stories.

Main track "Transparent Tears" (Track 2) is written and produced by Lee Sung Hwan who made an arduous effort writing the lyrics in order to precisely convey the feelings of a painful breakup. In this melancholic ballad, transparent tears represent pain, regret, and sorrow. As fate would have it, the song was recorded on the same day as Kim Min Soo's unfortunate accident. Sharing the spotlight with "Transparent Tears" is the mellow groove of "A Rusty Heart" (Track 3), written by Park Hae Woon and produced by Kang Eun Kyung whose previous hits include Park Hyo Shin's "Sorrow" and Monday Kiz's "New Flesh".

먼데이키즈 첫번째 싱글 앨범 ‘Incompletion’
불의의 교통사고로 인해 미완성된 앨범이기에 그 어떤 앨범 보다 소중하다!

지난 2005년 1집 'Bye Bye Bye'에 이어 2007년 'El Condor Pasa'로 가요계의 실력파 가수로 우뚝 선 먼데이키즈가 정규 3집 앨범에 열정을 쏟아내던 중 9월 초 멤버 김민수에게 불어 닥친 불의의 교통사고로 인해 녹음을 중단할 수 밖에 없었고, 결국 미완성 싱글 앨범 'Incompletion'을 내놓았다.

‘투명한 눈물’은 이성환이 작사, 작곡한 곡으로 수차례에 걸친 가사 수정을 통해 가슴 아픈 내용으로 탄생된 곡이다. 이별의 아픔을 겪고 흘리는 눈물이 투명한 이유에 대해 애틋한 심정으로 표현한 슬픈 마이너 발라드곡으로 이 곡의 탄생과정이 말해주듯 먼데이키즈의 정제되지 않은 순수한 감성의 느낌이 고스란히 담겨져 있다. 또한 김민수가 사고 당일 최초로 노래한 녹음 분의 결과물이기에 더욱 안타깝게 느껴지는 곡이다. 마치 마무리 되지 않은 조각상처럼 거칠지만 닥쳐올 그날의 불운 때문이었을까.. 그의 보컬엔 애절함이 더 깊이 담겨있는 듯하다. 공동 타이틀곡 ‘녹슨 가슴’은 박효신의 애상’, 먼데이키즈의 ‘새살’ 등을 작곡한 박해운과 작사가 강은경 콤비가 탄생시킨 감미로운 팝발라드 곡으로 아련함이 베여있는 한 남자의 아픈 가슴을 음악적 깊음과 더욱 짙어진 감성으로 노래의 맛을 더하며 진한 멜로디 음악의 절정을 보여준다.
