Moon Hee Jun Special Album

Moon Hee Jun is finally out - out of the military that is. Completing his military requirement in December 2007, the versatile singer/songwriter returns to the spotlight with a special album, his first since 2005's Triple X. This special release features Obsession (Track 1), a new track which premiered at Returns 1996, Moon's 2007 year-end concert held to celebrate his return, plus six more live concert tracks. Speaking of the dangers of love, Obsession demonstrates the changes in Moon's musical style, delivering a more refined and delicate melody in comparison to his earlier sounds.

Two of the songs that generated a huge response amongst the crowded fans at the concert have been rearranged by Moon: G Seonsangui Aria (Track 5) and Gi uk iran jak eun ma eul ("A Village Called Memory" - Track 9). Other highlights include Wish (Track 2), Soul (Track 3), and Git It Up (Track 4) - all rearranged into rock versions from their original songs, Parang sae eh so won ("Wish Of A Blue Bird"), Young Hon ("Soul"), and Tooji ("The Spirit of Fighter"), respectively. All three original tracks were written and penned by Moon during his glorious H.O.T days. The charismatic star marks his territory once again, taking control of the entire album production by penning, composing, and arranging all of the featured tracks.

문희준이 2008년 3월 13일, Special Album을 발매한다. 총 10곡이 수록되어있는 이번 앨범은 2005년 4집 ‘Triple X’이후, 2년 만에 발매되는 앨범으로 2007년 12월 군 제대 후, 성황리에 개최된 콘서트 ‘Returns 1996’ 에서 발표한 신곡 ‘Obsession’ 과 라이브 실황 곡 6곡이 포함되어 있다. 이번 앨범의 타이틀 곡 ‘Obsession’은 사랑이라는 미명 아래 행해지는 구속과 집착의 심각성을 이야기하는 곡으로, 문희준의 변화된 음악적 색깔을 감지할 수 있으며, 감성적이고 세련된 선율을 한껏 느낄 수 있다. 또한 ‘G선상의 아리아’, ‘기억이란 작은 마을’ 등 재 편곡하여 콘서트 당시 많은 사랑을 받았던 6곡이 수록, 뜨거웠던 콘서트의 현장을 고스란히 전하기도.

이번 앨범의 큰 특징 중에 하나는 문희준이 HOT 시절 작사, 작곡했던 3곡이 락 버전으로 재 편곡되어 수록되었다는 점이다. ‘파랑새의 소원’, ‘영혼’, ‘투지’는 새로운 느낌으로 ‘WISH’, ‘Soul’, ‘git it up’ 으로 다시 태어나 대중을 찾아간다. 문희준은 자신의 기존 앨범과 마찬가지로 이번 앨범에서도 전체 프로듀싱과 작사, 작곡, 편곡을 모두 맡아, 음악의 완성도를 위해 심혈을 기울였다. 이에 이번 앨범은 발전하고 진화해가는 문희준의 음악적 역량을 한층 더 느낄 수 있을 것이다. 문희준의 Special Album은 3월 14일, 화이트데이에 대중에게 큰 선물로 다가갈 예정이다.
