2009年5月からTBS系列で放送された、木村拓哉主演による"脳科学"ミステリー・ドラマ。警察庁の科学警察研究所に所属する脳科学者が、その類いまれなる才能で難事件を解決していく姿を描いて好評を博した。綾瀬はるかや水嶋ヒロなど共演にも実力派が揃い、各話ゲストの豪華な顔ぶれでも話題になった。
本作は、シリーズ全8話を収録した特典DISC付きの6枚組BOX。収録の本編映像は、未放送シーンを追加したディレクターズカット版である。

勤務先のホストクラブの帰り道、ある事故で頭を強打した龍介は、すぐさま病院に担ぎ込まれた。やがて手術が始まり、モニターに映し出された龍介の脳には、予想もできないような変化が起こっていた。それから5年後、現在の職場である警察庁科学警察研究所に向かっていた龍介は、巡回中の刑事・船田に爆弾事件の犯人と間違われてしまう。しかし、すでに龍介は真犯人を見抜いていて…。
