　　A gritty and powerful crime drama, Mulholland Falls tells the story of four no-nonsense cops, nicknamed the "Hat Squad", who formed an elite unit of the Los Angeles Police Department in the early 1950s. Citizens sometimes mistook them for gangsters, but the criminals knew who they are. The leader Max Hoover (Nick Nolte), whose personal involvement in a baffling murder case threatens not only the squad, but his wife Katherine (Melanie Griffith), together with his best friend and longtime mistook them for gangsters, but the criminals knew who they are.
