 Select the instrument.... Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I am not going to talk about the songs since I am quite ok with them. I would rather talk about the new feature that let you switch by using different music instruments from the DVD disc. They just simply put each of the recorded instrument sound on the DVD without a new solo arrangement. Therefore, you will feel weird when hearing the violin solo or piano solo track. The flow of the music is suddenly stopped. In fact, the sudden drop is suppose to back up by the second melody line played by piano or bass. The whole idea of selecting your favorite music instrument just gets ugly without a total solo arrangement…

 "My Cup Of Tea" by Hacken Lee Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Once again Hacken delivers a classic masterpiece. Well known for clarity and control, he has a voice that is almost technically flawless, capable in rising to heavenly heights and plunging with equal grace the next bar. This recording is nicely crafted in terms of composition and arrangement, with lotsa orchestral/chamber support. After listening to the entire CD, one would experience a cohesive programme that paints a complete story and not songs that are put together just to fill up an album.

Had fun trying out the different arrangements on the DVD, vocals with different mixes of instrumentation.

Personal favourites are tracks 1, 2, 5, 8, 9 and 12.

i am a big hacken lee fans , i bought every album of hacken since 2004, but this one is not very good, those, song is so so . i sugess, you listen the song on youtube before buy ing this album,

b/c of the big difference in opinion provided by reviewers on this album, i decided to give it a try. after listening to it a number of times, i frankly didn't like it that much...found it kinda boring at times.. i can see it being good relaxation music but i personally like cds with more variety of pace and style of music..and also less filler songs such as that twins and brazilian girl song which were not very good...but im no expert or whatever, thats just my opinion... i think his concert hall 2 cd was better...

Hacken has always been my favorite singer. This new album is excellent! I like it a lot! Most of the songs in this album are slow songs, but they are not boring. There is less instrumenation and can hear more of his voice. Track 9, he wrote the song himself & showed his feelings very clearly. I like all the songs in this album & even know how to sing most of them already, without reading the lyrics(i cannot read chinese). He sat down while recording these songs & used a different way to sing. If you listen to his songs more, you will like it more. At the stage of knowing how to sing the song, you dont know that you are already obsessed with it! MUST BUY THIS ALBUM! SUPPORT HACKEN FOREVER!!!

Hacken's performance on this album is terrific as usual and the high standards demonstrated in his singing is similar to the quality of his previous works. Unfortunately, also similar is the lack of variety in his songs. Aside from the principal single (track 5) and track 3, the rest of the songs are not particularly memorable. Even track 1, which is projected to be another single off the album, isn't particularly appealing. Hopefully he will attempt a wider range of songs on his next album.

Overall grade: 7/10

there is no doubt hacken is a good singer and he performs each song well but i have to say this is a really boring album. each song is really similar and has no suprises. just not my cup of tea.

 Another 5 Stars for Hacken! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Hacken has always been a very talented singer, and this CD continues to let him shine. Not only does he sing very well, but the songs are nicely written, and the DVD is very intresting. It continues the "Concert Hall" series in a similar but different way, so the fans don't get bored, and its still very professionally made. It didn't take long for this CD to oversell Andy's "A Miracle World!"

I've always been a fan hacken lee's singing, it's so natural and mellow. This new album has some really great tracks and vocals. Hacken's voice hasn't changed much which is so great, b/c he still sounds really good.
