Featuring three popular teen-idols, Nicholas Tse, Stephen Fung, and Joey Yung, this movie was a hit with Hong Kong youth. Edward (played by Stephen Fung) is kicked out of school and finds him at a new school, with a reputation for fighting that keeps even the triads away. The leader of the group, Stone (played by Nicholas Tse, befriends Edward. Their friendship is tested when a local triad leader discovers Edward's wealth. Check out these daredevil actors in My School Mate, The Barbarian.

Teenie bop movie Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
An interesting interpretation on the "savage" side of Asian school systems with a type of classroom "fight clubs". Tse & Fung are inserted as your teenage heart-throbs so a "go" for fans of these two. Only a couple neat fight sequences that allow this movie to remain in the action category. My favorite being the showdown of Tse's character versus the student using a somewhat recognizable "mantis".

Friendship Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
For Nicholas Tse and Stephen Fung fans, this a movie to buy!
I like this movie because the friendship between the character is the most interesting subject in this movie. Once became friend, they must help each other no matter what. Is it true that they said it is for money but they never turn back to a friend when he need help. About violence, it is like Stone said:Even police do use appropriate vilonce! I'm really agree. Sometimes we don't have the choice, we have to use violence to solve problem.

I liked this movie!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I enjoyed this movie alot!! It had good fight scenes, hilarious and the storyline was good too, although it was nothing spectacular. I didn't think it was stupid or anything except that the " tradition" the school had was kinda weird and joey got a bit annoying at times with her running away and screaming the moment she saw stephen. This movie is just pure fun and there's a good laugh. The friendship between nicholas and stephen is good too. I don't know but I just really liked this movie alot. But for those who are looking for a good storyline, this is not the show for u. If you just want a bit of fun, watch this!!

NOT WHAT I EXCPECTED! Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I'm a fan of both Stephen and Nicholas, and I was disapointed in Stephen's character, but Nick's I was impressed. Don't let people tell you both characters are cool because their not. I fell for that trick and I was disapointed. Stephen Fung's character is some weak anoying nerd. I'm a fan of Stephen and I was pisst. AS for Nick's character he is a cool loner who can kick some sereouse ass. so if your getting this movie for Stephen I don't realy recomend it, but if your a fan of Nick I recomend it.
