Best Ayumi Hamasaki's album ever!
| This is the album which got me definitively into Ayu. ''Moments'' and ''INSPIRE'' were love at first listen and then ''CAROLS'' convienced me to listen to the full album : since then Ayumi Hamasaki became one of my favourite Japanese singers! From the intro, you understand immediately the power of this album, the only track I skip sometimes is ''winding road'' but the rest of the album is a masterpiece. Maybe ''Memorial Address'' is even better than ''MY STORY'' but it was a mini-album, considering the full albums, the best quality is here. |

Best Ayu album ever
| A mix of sensational songs by miss hamasaki. This was my first album purchase of hers and it is such a great album. I love the rockiness of it and the attitude along with some great ballads and crowd songs. An excellent album and great for all to be fans. |

Inspiring Album
|
Jpop powerhouse, Ayumi Hamasaki has definitely made a fine album. From powerful rock tracks to inspiring ballads to upbeat and funfilled songs, this album has great variety. However, some songs do get boring and some do have the same sorta've style as others, though they lack the quality. Yet, the album also shows off the versatility of Ayu's voice by letting out her emotions through each song. About You (track 2) is probably the best album track. This powerful track really shows off Ayu's rough edge, both through song and through vocals. She adds this edgyness to her voice throughout the song that fits perfectly with the style. A great track that will definitely catch your attention. Carols (track 11) was the last single released before this album was released. A beautiful and inspiring ballad, Ayu starts off slow and gentle, but gradually pours her emotions into the song, making is both dramatic, yet gorgeous. An amazing track and probably the best song on the album. Though I am not a fan of Ayu, this is definitely a good album to get mainyl because of it's variety of songs. Though some songs aren't that great and might not surprise or even bore you, there are some really good standout tracks. Recommended for all Ayumi fans, Jpop beginners, or people who want a solid album. |

Definitely worth buying
|
I don't think this album is wholly wonderful album, but is has plenty of great tracks that make it worth buying. Track overview: Catcher in the light - A great, rock intro. About You - A indie-rock song. Definitely cathcy, I love it. GAME - I love this song. It's a great rock track. Very dramatic. my name's WOMEN - A completely awesome pop track. WONDERLAND - A very creepy interlude... Liar - An OK indie-ish track. At first, I liked it a lot, but then I felt it was boring after a while. HOPE or PAIN - I love this song, just like I love GAME. I'm not sure which category to put it under, all I can say is I love it to bits. HAPPY ENDING - A nice ballad. The lyrics are quite sad. It has a different, very lovely feel to it. Moments - A great, indie-like song. It's not upbeat like About You, but a lovely ballad. walking proud - This kind of reminds me of HOPE or PAIN, but they are really, very different. I love it just like I love HOPE or PAIN, though. CAROLS - An absolutely lovely ballad. I fell in love with it the moment I heard it, and I still love it after hearing it for a year. Kaleidoscope - A nice interlude. INSPIRE - An upbeat pop song. I love it. Very fun. HONEY - I don't really like this song. It's very poppy, but I do like the instrumental part. Other than that, though, I think it could've been replaced with something better. Replace - A catchy, very poppy song. A little bit like HONEY, but I like this more. winding road - At first I didn't like this song at all, but it's grown on me a little. Humming 7/4 - A good, happy ending, rockish song. |

Special
| This was the first Ayu purchase I ever made (at a Denver Asian store), so this album holds a very special place in my heart. This album is flawless, and contains some of my favorite songs by Ayu. The transitions from song-to-song are really smooth, and the intro and interludes are good to listen to as well! My favorite song off this album is 'my name's WOMEN' and my favorite music video (I only have the album but I've seen every video of the singles) is 'Moments.' Overall, it's worth buying! |

A cd you just can't not buy
A cd you just can't not buy
| A fantastic album. Ayumi Hamasaki at her best. One of the best albums of her by far. Every song is memorable and is great to listen to one after the other. Fantastic album. A must buy 10/10. This is the album which got me into Ayumi Hamasaki so it is a must buy. A mix of Ballads and Pop get on your feat songs. If you have seen the DVD then you must buy this CD to complete the double set. |

| I must say that I like this album alot it has a variation of songs and is very entertaining to listen too. Though Humming 7/4 has a weird title it is a fun song to listen to if you want to jump up and down. Carols and Moments are deffinelty some of my favorites and who could forget " My Name's WOMEN?" and Inspire??? Those two are really cool songs as well... in my oppinion this is a great album and make sure to get it ~also get her Miss Understood album, great songs in there as well~ |

Not That Great...
Not That Great...
| Ayu is not that great in my opinion...for one thing, her voice is like a chipmunk that has swallowed way too much helium. she sounds like a little kid. Also these songs try to be emotional but they seem so robotic. The songs like Carol seem like J-Horror Trailer songs. they come a dime a million. ANd her rock songs are silly and bland. She is a very pretty girl, but not a music talent in my opinion. Also, this CD is filled with boring songs that try to sheild her voice with loud background music. (this is something janet jackson also does just instead of using rock music, janet uses hip hop beats...) i think that this is not a very well done album. Im not saying that i hate her...im saying that i think she should have just been a model or actress (ive never seen her act so i cant say if she is good lol), but not a singer. There are 3 so-so songs on this cd...About You, Hope or Pain, and Moments, and even those 3 songs get old very fast. In all this story is just a bland waste of 1 1/2 hours.... |

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| I feel that this album is one of the best Ayu ever recorded and i would not mind giving it a rating of more than 10. "MY STORY" covered a wide variety of songs ranging from rock to ballads, all of which are of high quality. The first few songs of "MY STORY" have a rock feel. The song "Catcher In The Light" acts as an introduction, followed by a number of hits such as "About You", "GAME" and "my name's WOMEN". "WONDERLAND" marks a departure from rock to ballads. Ballads in this section such as "Moments", "walking proud" and " CAROLS" are warm, enjoyable and is perhaps the best section in this album. "Kaleidoscope" is a nice instrumental song which marks the end of the ballads section. The following songs are a mixture of rock, pop and ballads. Overall, "MY STORY" covers a wide variety of songs, all of which are of high quality. This is perhaps her best album she ever recorded and is my favourite Ayu's album to date =) |

Queen of j-pop?
Queen of j-pop?
| I don`t think that this album was good. Most of the songs are repetitive and not very original. Anyway I liked Inspire and Replace. Honey was also O.K. I think she was trying to play cute in this song singing in an infantile manner. Humming 7/4 gets on my nerves-everybody go,everybody jump-it has no melody, she could make a rap version out of this. From the slower songs I partly like Carols and Moments, but these were singles,so I expected them to be O.K.. There is nothing special about this album, probably the previous ones would be a better choice. |
