My Tutor Friend 2 (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

A follow-up to the 2003 hit comedy My Tutor Friend starring Kwon Sang Woo and Kim Ha Neul, My Tutor Friend 2 features a brand new cast with the same concept and charm. Fresh young stars Lee Cheong Ah (Ssunday Seoul) and Park Ki Woong (Art of Fighting) portray the film's lovable feuding couple. Staying true to the genre, the film readily hams it up, letting the romance bloom amidst oddball humor and hilarious scenes of culture shock and language mishaps. My Tutor Friend 2 is co-directed by Ji Kil Woong, the cinematographer for the first My Tutor Friend and King and The Clown, and Kim Ho Jung who previously served as assistant director on Repechage.

Japanese-Korean girl Junko (Lee Cheong Ah) travels to Seoul as an exchange student in hopes of seeing a Korean student whom she had fallen in love with in Japan. When she arrives at her new university, she finds out that her love-to-be is in the army. On top of that, the guesthouse she's staying at is full of rowdy young guys, including the owner's grating son Jong Man (Park Ki Woong) who also happens to be her Korean tutor. This disagreeable tutor, however, is a lot more interested in teaching her inappropriate words than conjugation. The two initially spend all their time fuming and feuding, but Junko slowly discovers there's more to Jong Man under his insensitive exterior.

Junko, a korean resident in Japan comes to Korea as a transfer student to find the boy that she likes. She arrives at guest house 'Sentiment' and is happy to have her own room, delicious food, and a kind owner. But soon she finds out her room actually belongs to the owner's son Jong-man who passes out in the room, and Junko is dumbfounded as she shares the room with him on her first night in Seoul. The owner persuades Junko to stay by offering her his son's room and Korean language lessons. He then pressures Jong-man to be Junko's pprivate tutor in order to pay off his credit card debt. Same age as Junko, Jong-man is careless about his tutoring job but his father's watchful eye is overbearing. On the contrary. Junko shows great enthusiasm and is determind to absorb everything she learns. So begins Jong-man's sloppy Korean lesson! Jong-man gets the obedient Junko to practice tongue twisters and cuts class to go out drinking. Then he carelessly teaches her rough slangs and profanity and leads Junko to make a full out of herself in public. But Junko dedicates herself to the studies she a just begun, and through the senseless lessons, she eventually becomes a foul-mouthed foreigner. Junko's wishful time in Korea keeps twisting and turning....
