A sequel...nothing more Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I have to admit I was attracted to this movie simply because I wanted to see the main characters again & see what else she had to fight through. The original had better fight sequences & the attempts at giving the character depth falls short most of the story. This movie can be neatly self-contained but is lacking simply because it is a sequel. Rent it, borrow it from me but consider buying it only if you simply have to have it in your action/comedy collection.

Well, the story started with Shin having an amnesia, not remembering her past and being married. It is ok but i enjoyed part 1 more.

Deffinetly not as funny as the first but i would have to say its alot more entertaining because of the plot twists. Not many guys may agree with me but but i think Shin is gorgeous lol...she's so cute with her short hair. If you enjoy comedy movies with a mix of gangster then this will make a great add to your collection. Part 3 is in the works.

Unlike sequels that usually fall short of the orginal show, "My Wife is a Gangster 2" actually delivers a better screenplay allowing the actors more depth and color and is better than the original.

There are still some pretty cool fight scenes, but the fights scenes are secondary to the plot, unlike the first movie where it appeared that the plot was based primarily on the fight scenes.

Shin Eun Kyung delivers in this movie and is allowed to explore more facets of her character as well as introduce more comedy. The listing of China's Ziyi Zhang is misleading as she has perhaps 1 minute in the movie at the very end. Otherwise, this movie is enjoyable and brings in characters from the original "My Wife is a Gangster" minus the husband (thank goodness).

why doesn't america make good movies like this?! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
XD wow.
The things she do to regain her memory are really funny. She tries electrocuting herself, makes sad attempts to get hit by lightening, get hypnotized (and says stuff like "I'll kill you" and scares the hypnotist), get hit in the head really hard by a budhist monk..

I like how the movie starts off with the guy's narrorative. Compared to other movie sequels, I think it's safe to say that this movie is rather self contained, although it doesn't hurt to know what happened in the first movie. I like how the main character is a pro-female type (but not neccesarily a femmenist) and is in indirect ways, scary. Scary, but silly, and funny.

And there are these wild theories about what she might've been before she lost her memory. The resteraunt owner wonders if she was some kind of famous scissor artist, and the woman herself believes she was in the circus after the bank incident.

Overall this was a very funny movie. A very good story, with a few sub-stories. I recommend this movie to anyone, but especially those who are insterested in kowing the social atmosphere of korea :)

Funny and Entertaining Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The second installment of "My Wife Is A Gangster" is vastly different from the first installment. I watched the first one and loved it. I watched the second one and loved it.

The reason why I loved the second installment was because it was funny. It is, however, inconsistent from the first movie but I am a big fan of corny movies. I would highly recommend this movie!

First of all, I would like to say that while some of the people didn't like the movie, there were high 4-5 stars in the rating. Do not be fooled by it! Anyway, if you haven't watched the first installment, maybe you shouldn't watch it and watch this (2nd installment) first because it would probably be more entertaining. I watched the first part - totally loved it, watched this movie and was totally disappointed. Like most of the people who have already reviewed this movie, I keep asking "where's the husband?"

I think if you watch the 1st one and then watch the 2nd one and expect the 2nd to be like the 1st.. then you'll be upset. Perhaps the 2nd one is good if it stands alone. But I thought the 2nd was a litty too corny - much less serious than the 1st. And because I watched the 2nd one thinking it'd be like the 1st.. I was let down. I'd much perfer the 1st! The 2nd is just for plain stupid laughs.. but the 1st has the real funny stuff and serious parts.

Not as good as the first one Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
If you haven't seen the first one, you are missing out on a lot. This sequel is not as good as the first one. Interesting amnesia angle however after that, everything else is pretty much the same as the first movie. Can't say I'm disapponted in buying the DVD as it compliments and completes my collection of both films. Too bad they didn't do more with the second film.
