January 7, 2007 depressing
OMG this cd is too depressing. her Mandarin pronunciation is VERY GOOD. she improve a lot in her Mandarin. i usually enjoy listening to her sing in Mandarin more than her Cantonese. but this cd is depressing. the themes and lyrics are depressing. i don't like this cd at all. and the dvd the videos were well shot but the theme is depressing. January 7, 2007 huge disappointmentElva Hsiao's 1087 cd+dvd, i waited it anticipation for the release of this cd for such a long time. when i finally got it i ripped the package open first played the dvd and then played the cd. the dvd was awful. it show her when she was sick with the cold. due to her cold, when she talk cannot understand what she is saying. it show her make a mistake in her concert and she keep saying she feel shame about it. ok thought no problem so what the dvd is bad. maybe cd is good. so listen to the cd one time and then think listen again to make sure how i feel. OMG! it is bad! huge disappointment. Biao Bai is not that good. it repeat itself too many times have a dizzy feeling. the songs are NOT that special or great. should have avoided this cd. December 30, 2006 bad moviethe story and plot of this movie The Romantic President is weak and disappointing. the concept of it is meant to be cute and romantic. a female high school teacher who scolds her student for her bad behavior in school and later to find out she is the president's daughter. the school teacher meets with the president to talk about his daughter's bad behavior and poor school performance and conduct. only to find herself falling in love with the president and the president falling in love with her. the idea and concept is not bad. it is how the movie is executed and the way it is filmed. this movie seemed very rushed. the scenes did not make much sense. the scenes seem fragmented and did not meld well and made the movie seem disjointed and unconnected. the performances were not great either. i like to watch Choi Ji Woo but this movie is very bad. December 30, 2006 another great albumSMAP does it again with another great album. SMAP the number one most popular Japanese boy band never disappoints their fans. SMAP is always generating hit after hit. The songs are very pop and fun-loving. Makes people happy and makes people want to dance. Makes people have a very good feeling. December 30, 2006 Play it ten thousand timesFinished watching Pop Up SMAP Live and right away I watched it again. For the simple reason -- it is an awesome concert. I want to play this concert ten thousand times -- this is just me expressing how much I enjoyed this concert. What I found to be refreshingly surprising is Tsuyoshi and Shingo's behaviors. Tsuyoshi was winking and blowing a lot of kisses -- especially towards the end of the concert. Shingo did some winking and blowing kisses too -- however, not as much as Tsuyoshi. OMG -- Tsuyoshi even got a bit wild with standing on the railing of the moving cart. What has gotten into him? He's never acted like this before. Anyhows -- it looks like Tsuyoshi is having an amazingly fun time and he looks ecstatically happy. Whatever reason for his happiness -- Congratulations! Omedetou Gozaimasu! I think all the SMAP members look very happy and look like they all are having a lot of fun and a great time at this concert. Their energy is much higher than 2003 and 2005 concerts.
Shingo's solo act of the song 'Everybody'. is actually a duet with Koda Kumi. Koda Kumi did make a special guest appearance -- think it was the Final concert show at Tokyo Dome. Anyhows -- she made an appearance and it is shown in the 2006 SMAP Diary part. She looks mega-fit and sexy.
Tsuyoshi's solo performance of TOKIO is awesome. He had on this creamy white jacket -- sort of looks like a soldier uniform -- with sparkling lights and he wore red pants. He looks very happy every time he sings the word TOKIO.
Kimura is always looking great and looking like he is having tons of fun. Don't you just love how he swings and swivels those hips? Anyhows -- Kimura's solo performance of the song Kimi ga Iru -- penned by Lily Franky. Is GOOD.
Goro's solo performance of the song L-O-V-E has a dizzying effect with the song having way too many 'I Love You' in the background -- that is girls saying 'I Love You' in the background. Goro looked nice though with the purple suit jacket and black pants. Like how he is acting like a gentleman in disguise.
Nakai's performance is with a lady -- sorry don't know who she is. The performance is good. The lady sing good and she danced a bit.

October 8, 2006 interestingthe song - scandal - is alright. i didn't like that song too much. the music covered up their voices so their voices are not too clear. i prefer kang ta to sing in his native language korean. and i prefer vanness to sing in his native language english and chinese. i like the korean version of 127 day and good vibration. i like the chinese version of one day. it is interesting how they decide to put kang ta with vanness wu of f4 to do this one time project. there are many artists that do this sort of thing. don't know why people keep thinking these people disband when they didn't have any intentions of being a permanent group. it is just a one time project for fun and for making profit. i think it is an ok project. it surely succeed in making profit seeing how this cd produce many versions and sold well. i like sowelu and think this song - dear friend - is cute. it is not heavy with a deep message or anything. it's just a fun and cutesy song. it is medium pace - not too fast and not too slow. yeah after a few listens to it a person can easily get bored because the music is very typical pop. i like sowelu and think she sing well. this song is just a cute song. October 8, 2006 emotional songbe my last - is a very emotional song. utada hikaru sings with strong feelings. i knew about this song when i watched the movie - haru no yuki (spring snow) with tsumabuki satoshi and takeuchi yuko. the movie is full of passion and a sad ending. be my last - is the main theme song to the movie. when the movie ended and the credits were rolling, they played this song - be my last - and it had an even greater impact in arousing the audience's feelings. it strongly connects with the theme and feelings of the movie. that is why i like this song very much. September 16, 2006 Love this posterI love this poster from the show "My Lovely Sam Soon". Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin look very cute together. Wish they were a real couple. I got this poster for free at the cd-dvd store. at the local cd-dvd stores... if a customer buys a cd or dvd they get the matching poster of that cd or dvd... cool, you know. I wouldn't pay $11 bucks for this... it's just a piece of paper. Save this $11 bucks for a Korean CD.

But it is $100 bucks here at Yesasia! At the gift shop, it only costs $50 bucks. I think the price is high here at Yesasia is because the shipment unit is 28. And who would want to give free shipment to people if it weighs so much to ship it... would lose profit. That is why hike up the price. September 16, 2006 Big Pig - Big PriceI love this pig which is featured on the Korean TV drama "My Lovely Sam Soon". It is very nice and huggable. But the price is $70 bucks! This pig cost $40 at the gift shop! I think the reason why it is $70 bucks is because the shipment unit is 20. Think about it... if the original price is $40 and the shipment unit is 20 (which is about $23 for standard shipping), it comes to $63 bucks... plus $7 bucks for handling and packaging fees (these are hidden costs). Then it is a whopping $70 bucks. Which I would save for something else... to buy another Korean TV drama DVD.

September 16, 2006 Fantastic OSTMy Lovely Sam Soon OST is FANTASTIC. It has the main theme song "Be My Love" which is played at the beginning of the show... a very upbeat and fun song. There are so many great songs that I love... especially songs like "She is" and "Inside My Heart". There are many other slow songs that are beautiful. Each time I listen to this CD... I think about the scenes from the show and sometimes either laugh or cry. Inside, the lyrics book is attached to the CD and contains some nice photos from the show. September 16, 2006 Mr Duke : Funny Romantic DramaMr. Duke starring Choi Ji Woo and Kim Seung Woo. Mr. Duke is a funny romantic dramas about a rich girl named Soo Jin who is going to school in London. Her father tricks her into coming back to South Korea only because he wants to set her up with a "perfect match" and get her married so that he can save the family's company. When she comes back and finds out what her father's plans are and if she does not obey and follow his rules, she cannot go back to London. Soo Jin and her assistant Ms. Park come up with an idea to invent a boyfriend so that she can stop going to those boring arranged dates which are held in a yacht in the evenings. When Soo Jin tells her father that she already has a boyfriend and gives false details that he is rich and they met in school in London, etc., her father wants to meet him. Desperate to find a "boyfriend"... Ms. Park knows a director (who used to be her lover) and asks him to help them find an actor to play Soo Jin's boyfriend.
Kim Yong Nam - an ordinary guy with a good heart who is always wanting to help others, drives a truck and delivers water all day long. He is renting a room at the director's house. The director is having a difficult time to find an actor to play Soo Jin's boyfriend... he takes a closer look at Yong Nam and thinks he is perfect. Yong Nam at first refuses because he does not want to lie and does not want such a thing for money. But he later agrees to the deal... that is because he needs the money to help his young friends (delivery boys) who got into a fight.
When Soo Jin and Yong Nam meet the very first time, at the first glance they like each other's outer appearance, but during the middle of the meeting, they feel they are totally opposites and Soo Jin & Ms. Park don't know if he will be a good choice. But they have no other choice because the director cannot find anyone.
As their fake relationship progresses... they later find themselves falling for each other. When Soo Jin's father discovers Yong Nam's real identity, her father takes all measures to separate them.
I like this drama and thought it was good. There are quite a number of funny scenes and dialogues. Choi Ji Woo is very elegant and beautiful. She wears a lot of nice classy clothes in this drama. Kim Seung Woo is handsome for an older guy and he looks very nice in a tuxedo and suits... a very good looking guy... and what a nice smile.

September 16, 2006 My MOST favorite BoA CD (now)BoA - Outgrow CD is my MOST favorite BoA CD right now. Definitely shows that BoA has matured in terms of her singing style and music. I think it is great for a singer and artist to try new things and experiment so that they can expand their talent. And BoA has certainly done that in this album and the results are great. Love her voice and her new music. Love how her voice sounds more sultry and sensual. The tracks I like best are: Silent Screamerz, Do The Motion, Kimi no tonari de, Outgrow - Ready Butterfly, Make a Secret, Everlasting, Cosmic Eyes, Dakishimeru, Stay My Gold, Soundscape, With U, and the bonus track in this Hong Kong version - First Snow.
So many great songs on one CD. The only thing that got on my nerve is the fact that I cannot play the DVD is because it is Region 3. Hong Kong used to be nice and made all their DVDs Region ALL. Now it is doing this Region 3 thing saying because of license reasons.
Heck, BoA's future CDs and DVDs should have an International Version which will make DVDs with Region ALL so that everyone can play them.
Anyways, I still love BoA and think Outgrow CD really rocks! Outgrow CD is my number one favorite BoA CD right now. Right after Outgrow CD, I like her Best of Soul CD (a great BoA compilation CD of her best best best songs).
