Mythodea - Music for the NASA Mission: 2001 Mars Odyssey (US Version) DVD Region 1

Greece-born composer Vangelis has made an acclaimed career out of his mystical, inspired New Age pieces. In 2001, the Oscar-winning artist wrote the theme music for NASA's 2001 mission, "Mars Odyssey." Performed by a huge collection of musicians which included 120 choir members, a large section of the London Metropolitan Orchestra, several timpanists and harpists, the renowned opera sopranos Kathleen Battle and Jessye Norman, and Vangelis himself on electric keyboards, MYTHODEA is an inspiring paean to the Space Age. The performance was staged at the open-air Temple of Zeus in historic Athens, Greece.
