江陳博（溫昇豪　飾）即將升為公司的執行副總，對於才新進公司三個月的菜鳥而言，這可是破格的超級重用，然而陳博的喜悅並沒有持續多久，原來公司只是希望一個資歷不深的劊子手來執行裁員，失望沮喪的陳博打算辭職，沒料到故鄉的父親陳定河（吳念真　飾）早已大肆宣傳自己高升副總的事，並準備辦桌宴請鄉親父老。
