The 24th single from Morning Masume, Namida ga Tomaranai Hokago (This After School with Full of Tears) is the group's first since the departure of Tsuji Nozomi and Kago Ai. According to producer Tsunku, this is going to a be Morning Masume as you have never seen them before. This is going to be a pure and raw song, without the usual production extras like energetic dancing and lusty vocals that characterized Morning Masume's image and previous works!
The title track is a mid-tempo pop song about love in school days. Written under the theme of "Tears of first love - It's like Romeo and Juliet", the lyrics talks about a young girl who feels a desperate need to see her love after school. Konno Asami and MIchishige Sayumi take on lad vocals with their youthful voices. The single comes with a B-side "I've Overslept on the Day I have a Date...", as well as 5 bonus "Hello! Project" photo cards!

Cute, but lacks substance
| Definitely not the greatest MM single, and even the PV is rather low quality. All the girls are cute, of course, especially Konno, Takahashi, and Tanaka. The vocals sounds very cute in the recording, but Tsunku definitely picked the 3 weakest singers in MM to lead this song. |

| I liked the song! the 2nd song is quite good itself and the 5photocards, you have to buy the original cd and dvd for the other 2 (kamei & takitty and Group photo). |

It's all right...
| I don't know about this song. It's not Morning Musume enough. I honestly liked coupling song a whole lot better. The 5 photo cards are pretty cool! |
