Just like the other two Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen games for Nintendo's Gamecube, Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen is one that will be sure to keep both newcomers and fans of the hit anime series, Naruto, occupied. With incredible specials, and beautiful cell-shade graphics, it is filled with much eye candy for the fans of the show. Also, there are new faces in the game, as it goes along with the Naruto series. Ten-ten, Akimichi Chouji, Jiraiya, Tsunade, the Sandaime (third Hokage) - Sarutobi, Aburame Shino, Temari, and Mitarashi Anko join the ranks and complete the teams that the second Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen could not accomplish. Though, there is also another character that will be sure to please once unlocked. The mission mode of the game may frustrate some, since in order to win the matches you will need to accomplish certain needs, and many of the matches have insane handicaps and effects on the player's character. This makes the story mode of the game much more challenging, and will be sure to keep players entertained for hours on end, with 32 missions to complete in all. Like the first two games, the characters each have a special jutsu (technique) that they can perform, as well as dazzling combos. In this addition, every character has two special jutsu that can be used with full health, and the other can be activated with low health. Like Rock Lee in the second game, some characters can activate other abilities, such as the sharingan and Kyuubi (nine-tails). This also allows other characters to use even more special jutsu. Though, there were some drawbacks, which had really disappointed me. I could not believe that TOMY would give the character; Mizuki, his own character slot, and leave out a few characters that many believed should fit in with this third addition. However, all we can hope is that these characters will appear in later games. All in all, this is a great addition to any fan of fighting games. I have played the first two games as well, and before the third had been released, I would play them regularly. Truly, it is a very fun and creative game series that I am proud to own. |

I own the first 2 games for the gamecube plus the 2 for the ps2. And after hearing about the 2 new special for each characters. I can't hardly wait. I preorder my copy. Ya should do the same. Anime fans and Gamecube fighting fans as well. |
