An adorable kitten and a grouchy salaryman become unlikely saviors for each other in the heartwarming pet film Nekonade. Directed by TV drama screenwriter and director Omori Mika, the film stars veteran actor Osugi Ren as a cold and uptight middle-aged man whose life and personality changes after he finds a kitten - and what a cute kitten it is! Nekonade also co-stars Kurokawa Mei (Way of Blue Sky) and Tsurumi Shingo (L Change the WorLd).
A human resources director at a top corporation, Onizuka Taro (Osugi Ren) holds his family, his subordinates, and himself to very strict standards. At work, he never shows mercy and never makes exceptions. One night, he finds an abandoned kitten in the park. Unable to just walk away, he decides to adopt the kitten, but his family objects, so he takes the kitten to work...
