It's still a "New Adventure" for me!
In 1995, My Little Lover's debut album "Evergreen" shimmered with bright, tight, jangly, horn-driven pop. However, that album's title track pointed the way to a new musical direction. This new approach came to full fruition on their third album, 1998's "New Adventure". On "New Adventure", gone are the horns, replaced by sweeping strings and synth washes, often floating atop grinding guitars and great loping rhythms. Melodic lines are prolonged, but the songs remain just as catchy and memorable as before. The one constant on both albums is singer Akko's heartbreakingly tart, pitch-perfect vocals. More than a decade later, this remains one of my all-time favorite J-Pop albums and I listen to it often. |

A must get
I absolutely loved this CD. This was the first ever CD I bought and since then I have been hooked. It is smooth and melodic but is also poppie. A must buy, since this encouraged me to buy two other albums ^-^ |
