Excellent Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
WOW. For only 6 tracks, Ai really packed in some marvelous material! Track #1 is a lovely, sentimental ballad that reminds me of Jasmine (Fish) Leong and is sung quietly and beautifully in Ai's clear soprano voice. Track #2 is a nice, sunny pop song that reminds me of Sayaka and is totally delightful. Track #3 goes a bit astray into a caberet sound that is a bit unusual and not quite consistant with the other two songs. I can't think of an Asian contemporary, but the song does remind me a lot of French singer Patricia Kaas. Track #4 brings us back to a ballad...but this one is powerful and strong and reminds me a lot of Gigi's newest release. Track #5 is extremely traditional with lots of woodwinds. This is probably what the other reviewer referred to as sounding Middle Eastern...and it does. You would expect the song to be in Arabic rather than Japanese. It's interesting, but not her best track on this release...in fact, it's the weakest. Track #6 closes out the too short CD with a final ballad bow, again reminding one of Jasmine. It's very subdued and almost whispery. Certainly, all these songs were placed in this order for a reason and if you BUY THIS like you should, you will see what I mean. Despite them being random genres, the way they are organized on this CD makes them actually flow and show a unique diversity of a talented and flawless singer. I know this CD is short (and hopefully her next will be longer), but it is packed with perfection and should not be neglected. I also highly recommend this CD to almost anyone. It's sure to please a wide range of genre types and age groups. Ai covered her bases well on this and I think she should be lauded for this shining success!

Something different from Pony Canyon... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It has been my experience that Pony Canyon as a label, tends to produce up-tempo artists more on the rock side of pop. This release shows their lovely softer side. Ai sings with the voice of an angel (and she certainly looks angelic...a lovely girl), and the grace of a professional singer. All the songs are mellow, but far from boring. In fact, the CD has an almost Middle East flair with the instruments used and the rythmns. It makes me think of relaxing on a hot summer night with a full moon and a glass of fine wine. I only wish there were more than 6 tracks on this CD. It really is a nice change from almost ANY known genre. It's very unique and I don't even know how to classify it. I think I would the music to be more contemporary, but I have zero complaint with the singer. She really has a superb voice and a wide range of styles and notes. A very talented girl and a very polished release. Highly recommended to anyone!
