Nodo Single Album - The Rose

It 's been nearly two years since Overclass member Nodo attracted the attention of the Korean music world with his debut album The Spotlight Is Mine. Nodo personally produced his latest album, and extended invitations to peers including The Quiett, Warmman, Fana, YMGA's DM, and Verbal Stint, all of whom contribute to the this new release. The Rose sees Nodo performing eleven hip-hop inspired tracks, including his 2007 single Black Way, on which he collborates with Dok2, The Quiett, and Fana.

Blind Alley Records를 이끄는 동시에 Overclass의 일원이기도 한 NODO가 2006년 데뷔 앨범 'The Spotlight Is Mine' 을 발표한 이후 약 1년 10개월 만에 새 음반 'The Rose' EP를 발매한다.

그는 애초 정규 2집 앨범을 발매할 계획이었으나 앨범을 작업하면서 많은 음악적인 변화를 겪게 되었고 고민 끝에 다소 어둡고 자조적인 색채를 띤 곡들 위주였던 2집 수록 예정 곡들을 1집에서 2집으로 넘어가는 과도기의 음반인 EP로 간추려 내기로 계획을 최종 변경하였다.

이번 음반에는 다양한 실력파 게스트들이 함께 해주었는데 작년 12월 디지털 싱글로 선 공개된 'Black Way'에 참여한 도끼, The Quiett, 화나 외에 오버클래스의 시작을 함께한 두 동료 Verbal Jint와 Warmman이 각각 한 트랙씩 참여하였고 오는 10월 미니앨범을 발표하며 활발한 활동을 시작하는 YMGA (DM & Masta Wu)의 DM이 또한 게스트로 참여해주었다. 그리고 이번 음반은 1집에서 NODO 혼자 모든 프로덕션을 담당했던 것 관 달리 Blind Alley Records 소속의 신예 프로듀서 The Pokerface가 2곡의 프로덕션에 참여하여 더욱 다채로운 사운드를 만들어내는 데 일조하였다. 또한, NODO 본인 외에 DJ Soulscape와 The Quiett이 엔지니어링을 일부 맡아주어 감각적이며 힘있는 믹싱으로 앨범의 완성도를 더했다.
