Okami is probably one of the most absorbing and aesthetic games ever created, and a large part of it's appeal is the music. Mostly based off traditional Japanese music with a little punch added to keep things interesting and move the plot along, it simply cannot compare to any game soundtrack released before it. You may be balking at the $40 price tag, but this is a beast of a five-disk set with virtually every whistle, clang and flourish in the game along with the beautiful full length pieces that immerse the player in the ancient Japan of fantasy. It also comes with a very cool booklet with neat artwork and what I suppose are retrospectives from some of the game's creators, but I don't know any Japanese, so that's that. Highly reccomended for fans of the game. This is sure to become a treasured collector's item. |
