Okitegami (Japan Version)

First debuting as a solo artist in 2002, Fujimoto Miki later became a sixth-generation Morning Musume member and half of the popular project duo GAM with Aya Matsuura. The 23-year-old singer now comes full circle back to solo status with her first release since resigning from Morning Musume in June 2007. In a departure from her previous songs, Miki's new single Okitegami ("Farewell Letter") is a classic, narrative-style ballad composed by hit songwriter Sugimoto Masato and arranged by Winter Sonata theme composer Yoo Hae Jun. Interestingly, senior vocalist Horiuchi Takao is releasing his version of Okitegami on the same day, offering two different generation and gender takes on this story of man and woman.
