I was hooked on Chemistry after 'discovering' them on NHK, after which I was on a rampant search for their songs. After listening to two of their excellent previous albums,I bought this one once got to know about it. After the first listen, I was rather disappointed with the album as they moved on from their largely upbeat hip hop sounds of 'Second to None' to a more light hearted and mature sound. The groove bass and beats have been replaced with guitars and strings. Nevertheless, their stronghold to me were 'Us', 'Your Name Never Gone', 'Bound for Identity-dear friend', 'So in Vain' and 'Itoshii Hito'. However, after a few repeated listenings, I began to take a liking on most of their other songs. Just like the other two albums, this one gets better with time. Some of the songs I didn't mentioned were not too noteworthy, but it cruises along for easy listening. |

| To begin with...this is the first Chemistry album I've heard, and was what made me a fan. After hearing this album, I got the their old albums and see a diference that One X One has to offer. My favorite track is Itoshi Hito. And their Now or Never colaboration w/ m-flo is better than the version m-flo has on his own album! |

| I've been listening to this album for months now..and it's still as good as the first time I heard it. Well, the songs aren't as up beat as some of their other stuff, but the melodies and voices are soothing. I especially like "Itoshi Hito", "Meaning of Tears", and "Now or Never". The last track I mention sounds much better than the version on m-flo's Astromantic album. Great album! I love Chemistry! |

| Well, being a Chemistry fan, of course I had to get this CD. Though I'm happy I that I did, I'm actually a bit dissapointed with it. Don't get me wrong- all the songs are pretty and enjoyable to listen to. It's just that none of them really have that stand out quality that makes it an instant favorite I've got to play over and over. In their last album, "Second to None", songs like "FLOATIN'", "Running Away", "No Color Line"- most of the songs actually- have those catchy hooks and chorus' you can't get enough of. But this CD is more laid-back and relaxed. It's calming, smooth R&B. So if that's what you like, this is perfect for you. And Dochin and Kawabata's voices still sound as nice as ever. This is quality music; just with a slightly different feel than Chemistry's earlier work. |
