March 28, 2006 Come for the Art Gallery, yet stay for Vampire SavAt first, I thought that it would be great to see the entire series together in one collection, but then I found they have a "Art Gallery" with great art.Complete with pictures of all the classic favorite characters, such as "Morrigan", "Lilith", "Bulleta", "Jedah", as well as the hated and adored "Donovan".They even included a secret character, "D".An alternate version of Donovan had he sucumb to the promise of the Vampire and drained Demitri of his blood.Viola, D ^^
The first three games almost seem like gems of the past. They play odly, yet much like they did back in the day.Ah yes, the days of performing Morrigan's "Shadow Pheonix" and "Soul Blade" pour into my mind like water into a pitcher... ^-^
This game is far more perfected in every aspect when compared to "Vampire Chronicle's Chaos Tower", it sucks not having the "Chaos Tower" as a playable mode, but the gallery with pictures of my beloved Morrigan and Lilith more than make up for the problems.Did you find this review helpful? Fighting For ONE PIECE (Japan Version)
Fighting For ONE PIECE (Japan Version) PS2
(1)Our Price: US$38.99List: US$68.99Save: US$30.00 (43%)March 27, 2006 Fighting For plays like Street Fighter, yet fallsWell, to be "Franky" LOL...Lame pun !-!
This game does play like "Street Fighter", yet as I stated, does fall short. From the start of the game, you will see that you may input commands via "Down-Right-O" yet, you may also input the command "Down-Down,Right-Right-O", thus letting the mechanics play out much like "Street Fighter".If that made no sense, simply input "Ryu's" "Hadoken" command, viola, "Luffy" will perform his signature move "Gomu Gomu Gattling Gun".He will also use "Gomu Gomu No Rocket" if you charge down then release up, along with "O". Much like Guile ^-^
The controls are very responsive, the graphics are really amazing, and the cast of characters is short, but sweet. If you are a One Piece fan and did not enjoy "One Piece Grand Battle" yet you did enjoy "Street Fighter', then this game is for you.Albeit, the game is broken in some ways (Difficulty) it still provides a great 2D romp!Did you find this review helpful? March 21, 2006 Do not expect much, yet hunger for more...As stated, this game comes with the player wanting a fresh FF adventure, with the most under-rated hero in quite some time.Since I need to keep this rather short, I will begin on the story.Three years following the day of "Meteo" and one year following the events of "Advent Children", Vincent Valentine finds himself in the city of "Kalm", dreaming of the past.During the "Revival" celebration, Kalm is ravaged by some force, never before seen.In short, these are the "Deep Ground Soldiers", weapons created by Rufus, in case his kingdom began to slip to far away.Vincent now travels alone (Minus Yuffie) while working with Reeve, to restore what is left of the earth. Now for the game-play.At many times, it can be some-what fun, at others, it is some-what hell. The gun control is easy as well as annoying, but the sheer volume of gun attachments keeps the game fresh...Sorta.For graphics, they are (In my eyes) stunning.I have always wanted to roam the streets of "Midgar" at my own lesuire, yet now I can. Many places blend together, but as a major fan-boy, I really just love looking at them.Only thing missing is a train ^-^
That is about all you need to know, there is not much replay value, unless you are a fanatic like me.The boss batttles are fun once you have got the hang of the controls. That's it, if you love FF7, grab this game, if you know not what FF7 stand for, steer clear, stear very clear.Just remeber, this is not a great game, just an above average game.Did you find this review helpful?
