Nice strong beats.
|
This album is quite up-beat and energetic in general. Songs like "Ai no Matador", "Sayaendou", and "TEPPEN" are good examples of this. "Hadashi no Cinderella Boy" and "Change the World" provide a more rock-pop mix into the album, while the cheerful "Nantokanarusa" with Masuda's happy voice will instantly cheer you up on a gloomy day. The more soft and calming tracks would have to be "Kimi Omou Yoru", the lovely "Ai Nante", the smooth "Alibi", and Yamashita's solo, "Gomen ne, Juliet". "Ai Nante" is definitely one of the best tracks on this album as Tegoshi's terrific vocals along with the emotional tune will be unforgettable. I personally found "Chirarizumu" very entertaining to listen to with Koyama and Shige's comical vocals bringing a silly tone to the album. However, I didn't find "code" all that great, mostly because Nishikido's vocals weren't very steady throughout the song, and would have to be the weak point of this album. Overall 'pacific' is fantastic lives up to its worth. NEWS has presented us with an excellent album that would not fail their fans. |

An Excellent Sophomore Album
|
Though Kusano Hironori and Uchi Hiroki are absent, NewS proves they're still going strong. From the rhythmic 'Ai no Matador' to the a capella song 'Sono Egao Ni Misete', NEWS never cease to make you dance, hum, and smile while listening to their music. The varying melodies on the track: the creative 'Kimi Omou Yoru,' the R&B 'Alibi', the Island 'Sayaendou', and the bouncy 'Teppen' were excellent, and each member of NEWS gets to shine not only as a unit as demonstrated as 'Hoshi Wo Mezashite' and Hadashi no Cinderella Boy and Mafuyu no Nagareboshi, but as individuals as well. Two of the tracks were written by the members. Yamashita Tomohisa's 'Gomen ne Juliet' combines a danceable rhythm with lyrics about a love that couldn't last, while Nishikido Ryo's 'Code' takes more of a rock approach with lyrics about the possibility of love. Both tracks are fantastic, and make you look forward to more from the two in the future. Koyama Keiichiro and Kato Shigeaki take the stage with two duets. 'Alibi' has a nice R&B feel to it while 'Chirarizumu' takes more a fun comical route. Both are great in terms of KoyaShige's vocals. But Masuda Takahisa and Tegoshi Yuya aren't left out. Massu leads 'Nanto Kanarusa', a bouncy island sounding song with Yamapi and Koyama. While Tegoshi shines on the heartwarming 'Ai Nante' with Ryo and Shige. I recommend this fantastic album to anyone who loves J-Pop. It's worth every penny! |

Good compilation!
|
I just received this CD a few days ago, and I have to say, it has a very good collection of songs. Apart from having their previous major hits like Hoshi o Mezashite, Teppen and Sayaendou, they also included some songs that they performed at the concert. I'm SO glad that they decided to include 'Code' (Ryo's solo) - I just LOVE that song - even though I still enjoyed the live performance version of it a bit better. Another song that caught my interest was Ai Nante - beautiful vocals by Tegoshi ^^. It's a very soulful song. The normal edition also includes the Acapella 'Sono egao boku ni misete', which I thought was also very nicely done. Overall, it's definitely an album to buy for NEWS fans. I only wish that the normal edition had more pictures of the group (but I suppose that's why they released the other edition with a bigger photo booklet). |

Can't wait for my cd's
| As a NewS fan, it's a must buy. But i just don't get the idea of having two albums released or four. one is the limited edition and the other one is normal edition. i bought the weeeek and pacific limited edition and compared it with the normal edtion. The difference is the amount of photos and some song added on the other. Why cant they just make one album with all the songs and images in 1 pack. Its killing me wanting to buy the normal edition but all the songs were pretty catchy tunes. i love it |

Buy It!

This album is worth your every penny. It's been so long since NewS has had major activity; now, BAM! New album! And you know what? It's very, very good. The songs are well chosen; a nice mix of different genres, songs you know and love and new songs to smile about. The only disappointing thing is that Tegoshi doesn't get a solo...but Ai Nante sort of makes up for that. Get this album! You'll be glad you did. |

1 word: AMAZING
|
It has gone more than 2 years since their last album and this one is even greater than the last one!! I LOVE all of the songs.. But the ones I love the most are Sayaendou, Code, Chirarizumu, Ai nante and Gomen ne Juliet. The album is mixed with "up-tempo" and "ballads" a very nice touch! It's good to have NEWS back.. This has been worth waiting for.. because it's totally AMAZING!!! If you haven't bought it yet.. What are you waiting for?? |
