Heart Station / Stay Gold (Japan Version)
March 29, 2008 Far exceeded my expectationsI never doubt Utada, I know she'll make something worth listening to. Even if I don't quite enjoy a song on first listen, I usually end up listening to it in the future. I thought the single would be called 'Stay Gold' at first, and after hearing the song on a commercial on youtube, I wasn't inpressed at all. After actually picking up the single, the song Heart Station just blew me away. Not quite at first, but a few days later when I was feeling down. The name is quite fitting to the song, it does have a gentle, 'relaxing to the radio' kind of feel. The lyrics are simply genious from my perspective, especially the line 'himitsu no herutsu' meaning 'a secret hertz'. One of the most listened to songs on my ipod :) Stay gold has grown on me. It is what it is, a gentle and sweet ballad. Therefore it may not be fitting if you aren't in the mood to listen to it. Overall, I was impressed with this single. I'm quite fond on Utada's new style of music. Now it's up to you to judge whether you like it or not ;) Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
ayu-mi-x 6 -GOLD- (Japan Version)
February 19, 2008 YES!!FINALLY!! A new ayu-mi-x!!!! I thought Avex would never make another Ayu-mi-x ever again, it depressed me. I didn't hear anything from either silver or gold album yet, but it's something sure to excite new and old Ayumi fans! : ) Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Beautiful World / Kiss & Cry (Japan Version)

November 9, 2007 I love it.I was so exited to hear her new single. I loved this right on the spot! Beautiful World is very inspiring and the name fits the song very well. I absolutely loved Kiss & Cry. As you all know, it does have samples from Hotel Lobby. If you listen closely, you can tell. There was a little catch to this one - it has an ad for Nissin Cup Noodle right in the lyrics! Normally I would be downright disgusted by this, it's selling out to businesses... in the worst way ever. But Nissin noodles are quite good. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Boku wa Kuma (Special Package Version)(Japan Version)
(4)Our Price: US$13.49Usually ships within 7 daysSeptember 13, 2007 well,Hikki wrote Boku Wa Kuma for children. That was the entire point. It's easy listening for a small child with simple lyrics. I think Utada definitely did what she sent out to do - she made a great simple song for children to enjoy. Though I personally wouldn't listen to it on a daily basis, I give the 5 stars because she successfully completed what she wanted to do. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
glitter / fated (Japan Version)

September 13, 2007 Far better than expected.I have to admit, though I follow Ayu religiously, her singles lately weren't cutting it for me. Startin`/Born to Be and BLUE BIRD just didn't make it up to par. The songs seemed pretty boring and repetative, though all the other songs on Secret were wonderful, in my opinion.
This single has blow the other previous singles away. No, Glitter sounds NOTHING like BLUE BIRD. The rhythm was very different. If anything, Glitter sounds similar to Greatful Days. Personally, Glitter was a great song. Ayu's English was very rough, but absolutely adorable.
Fated was a wonderful rock track. When I heard she made ANOTHER rock song, I thought it would be terrible. I thought 1LOVE was terrible at first, but quickly liked it after a few listens. Fated got me on the first listen, it immediately grabs you into it. Her voice is very good in this song, far better than glitter. You can hear the emotion behind it, since the song itself is very touching.
Now, my only problem with this single was that they put secret as the extra track. Why on earth would they do that? Usually, it'd have a remix or a new version of a song, not a song from a previous album. In fact, there were remixes of glitter, but only certain people were allowed to listen to them. I guess they realised this, since the new single Talkin` 2 Myself has a nice version of fated on it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
ayumi hamasaki RMX WORKS from SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix 3 (Japan Version)
ayumi hamasaki RMX WORKS from SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix 3 (Japan Version)
(21)Our Price: US$34.25Usually ships within 7 daysSeptember 1, 2006 I'm impressed! The first ayu-ro album was a huge hit in my book, I absolutely loved how they changed around the whole tune and feel to each song. Then, ayu-ro mix 2 did not impress me AT ALL. I then was brave, and tried this album. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. The mixes are different than the other two albums, and they deliver a pop-trance kind of style, something new that I've never heard from eurobeat. Not only is there a new style for eurobeat, there's the Ayu-ro Mega Mix which is all of your favourite ayu-ro tracks mixed together! This album is worth every cent of your money, you have my word. SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix 2 (Japan Version)
September 1, 2006 Dissapointing...The first ayu-ro album practially took my breath away! The reason? The folk who mixed the first album transformed each song into an entirely different experience, and almost an entirely new song itself!
I'm a fan of mixed Ayu albums, but this one was a huge dissapointment. None of the songs seemed any different, they just had an extra beat and an artificial sound added on. Also, most of the songs were just copies of other eurobeat remixes, and the originals sounded MUCH better. The only song on this album I will give props to is Seasons because it kept the true nature of a Eurobeat remix. Now that all of that's said, cheers. Buy the first album, or the third. This one's a stinker.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
August 24, 2006 Takes the cake for sure!
Even though Ayu has already released several new albums, including reaching 40 singles, I still listen to this album and absolutely love it. Ayu has not since released an album as impressive as this one, although her vocals have improved ALOT. That's mainly because her songs aren't as high, and her voice can manage it better. Still, this album is still worth money and worth a listen - it definitely has something for everybody. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Ultra Blue (Japan Version)

August 21, 2006 Something newUtada's style of music has changed throughout the years, and I still remain a fan. Most folks have rough oppinions about her after Exodus, (which I thought was pretty good. Perhaps I'm losing my mind?) but I still love her music. This album gives a completely new side of Utada contrasting to her hiphop years, and the new tracks are very well composed and written. I thought songs such as 'blue' and 'be my last' were more relaxing. It's also good to see her singles finally put onto the album such as 'keep tryin' , 'wings', and 'colors'. This album is worth your money, I highly recommend it! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Ayu-mi-x II Version Japan (Japan Ver.)
August 21, 2006 A wonderfully relaxing album. When I first saw the album, I though it was going to be a harder trance album. However when I listened to it, I found that most of the remixes were moreso jazzy than anything else! I actually liked that, it had a new and fresh feel to it. The songs were never dull, and had a tune that matched pretty well with the song. If you're a fan of remixes or if you're not, it's worth a listen! Did you find this review helpful? Cyber TRANCE presents ayu Trance (Japan Version)
August 16, 2006 Amazing!I absolutely loved this album! It's what got me into trance. I used to love the ayu-ro Eurobeat albums, but then this CD converted me to more of a trance fan. The music is very easy to listen to, and each song has a different feel to it. It was amazing how each of the UNITE! remixes sounded completely different and gave a completely new vibe!
I love every single track on this album. The only one I didn't care for was the 'Boys & girls push remix'. This is worth checking out if you're a fan of the ayu-ro albums.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
