Park Jung Hyun Vol. 6 - Come To Where I Am

A diva in possession of a soulful, dynamic voice combined with expressive songcraft, Park Jung Hyun returns as a singer/songwriter for her sixth release Come To Where I Am. All of her previous albums contained at least two self-written songs - a feat worthy of a nod. Widely known for her vocal talent, Park begins her full transformation as a songwriter/producer with Come To Where I Am. In it, she freely explores her musical creativity, not just composing and penning the songs, but also overseeing the whole process of production as well as its musical direction concept.

Main track Neunmulbit Geulsee ("Writing of Tears") (Track 2), an R&B ballad, celebrates the artist's impeccable vocal range. The trendy sounds of chorus and the intricacy of emotions offered through Park's soulful voice make for the album's greatest asset. Tracks like Maeumyee Munjuh ("Mind First") (Track 4) and Meeduryo ("I Believe") (Track 7) feature familiar pop tunes infused beautifully with Asian sentiments, returning to Park Jung Hyun's trademark sensual R&B sounds. 박정현 6집 come to where I am

2007년 12월. 박정현이 2년 여 만에 정규앨범 6집 ‘come to where I am’을 발표한다.
10년 동안 매 앨범마다 한 두 곡씩 자신의 자작곡을 앨범에 실어오면서 차근차근 아티스트로서의 궤적을 걸어오던 그녀가 본격적으로 선보이는 싱어송라이터, self-producer의 모습을 선보이는 시작점에 있는 앨범이라 할 수 있다. 본 앨범에서 수록곡들의 작사, 작곡뿐 아니라 앨범 전체를 관통하고 있는 음악적 방향에 참여하며 그간 쌓아온 음악적 내공을 마음껏 뽐내고 있다. 보컬을 연출하고 부르는 것에 있어서 항상 한국 최고라는 찬사를 받아왔던 그녀의 목소리는 이번 앨범에서 자신이 직접 만든 곡을 만나면서 강력한 시너지 효과를 발휘하여 이전 앨범보다 한층 더 발전된 면모를 보이고 있다.
