Listeners call her the "diva with a hi-fi beautiful voice", and indeed Lily Chen's albums are held by many audiophiles and industry insiders as essential items in their collections. After her 2007 debut concert in Hong Kong, the acclaimed singer returned to Guangzhou to hold two concerts at the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on December 5 and 6, 2009. Lily performed songs from her entire repertoire, including those from her most recent album Nong Qing, such as her outstanding renditions of Mandarin oldies like "Nightlife in Shanghai", "The Wandering Girl Singer", and "Rose, Rose, I Love You". In addition, she sang several Canto-pop hits of recent years like "Prayers of a Maiden" and "Street of Wedding Invitations". Besides the covers, Lily also performed her new original songs Nong Qing and "Love Along the Way" - both written by renowned musician Chris Babida - and a surprise dance medley.
