An extension of the Japanese series with both civilian & military flight simulation, single-player missions & challenges & multiplayer aerial combat.
Pilot Academy is an extension of the Japanese flight sim series Pilot Ni Narou, and offers both civilian and military flight simulation, with both single-player missions and challenges and multiplayer aerial combat. Four eras of combat plane are represented – from World War I, through World War II, and The Cold War, to modern-day combat, each with their own challenges. All types and sizes of civilian planes are on offer – from crop sprayers to massive 300-seater passenger jets, and everything in between – with appropriate challenges for each class. Stunt aircraft will test dexterity, whist commercial aircraft will demand other skills – such as emergency landings in fierce conditions. The game features three regions to fly over, mapped over about 64 square kilometers of terrain.
Twenty different aircraft to fly, from civilian to military and of all functions and sizes.
Aerial combat from WWI right up to modern day, taking in bi-planes, Spitfires, MiGs and modern aircraft such as the F16.
Large environments incorporating a wide range of scenery types, including Pacific islands, cities, African wildlife reserves and alpine forests.
An unparalleled range of flying experiences, from barn-storming to crop-spraying and from aerobatic displays with smoke trails to dogfighting.
Extensive multiplayer mode lets you set up any sort of aerial battle and fight it out in the air, co-operate with your friends against AI enemies or play a one-against-all chase game.

Four main game modes: Academy ( Learn to fly through a series of fun lessons, each lasting around 5 minutes); Missions (Fly your way through a range of realistic scenarios, each lasting between 5 and 15 minutes); Challenges (Crazy tests of your flying skill, doing things you wouldn't normally do in a plane, such as low-level flying); Multiplayer (Dogfight with your friends in deathmatch and team deathmatch, be each other's wingmen in co-op-based survival mode or chase down the player who's 'it' in chase mode)
