Taking over the annual stage musical made famous by Shonentai, popular Johnny's Jr. unit Kis-My-Ft2 is the star of the 2009 edition of Playzone. Kitayama Hiromitsu, Tamamori Yuta, and Fujigaya Taisuke are the leads of the show while Kis-My-Ft2's other members Yara Tomoyuki, and Uchi Hiroki appear in supporting roles. Shonentai's Nishikiori Kazukiyo returned to write and direct Playzone 2009 ~ Taiyo kara no Tegami which was staged in Tokyo and Osaka in July and August. The 2-DVD Playzone 2009 release features the musical on the first disc, and Show Time on the second disc along with a Special Reel that includes making of, birthday clip, and press conference. Also comes with 16-page booklet.
