From March to June, Okano Akihito and Shindo Haruichi, a.k.a. Porno Graffitti, were busy with their first nationwide live tour under the theme "OPEN MUSIC CABINET". Now it's time for the duo's self-titled seventh original album, which features 11 songs including their new Subaru CM song "Link" (CD - Track 1). Keeping the musical spirit high, the band sends all devotees their latest Porno Graffitti songs.
This initial edition comes with a DVD featuring making of material (approximately 50 minutes) including interview footage.

Excellent album
|
"Porno Graffitti" is an excellent all-round album. It features the usual mix of PG songs. There's the funny songs (Track #4 Bears, Track #9 Rock Band ga yatte kita), serious rock songs (Track #2 Utsusemi, Track #6 Tettsui), and the heart-warming soft rock songs (Track #5 Walker, Track #11 Sorairo). All of the songs are well made and I felt the album had a bit more cohesiveness and better flow than it's predecessor. I would rank it as their third best album, after "Kumo wo mo Tsukamu Tami" and "Thumpx". Definitely a great buy if you're new to this band or if you already love them. |
