青瓦臺，指的是南韓總統府，從高麗時代開始就做為皇宮，也曾用作科舉考場，1960年改稱為「青瓦臺」，最顯著的特徵就是建築物屋簷為古意盎然的青瓦。
車永真（蔡琳 飾），27歲，渴望得到認可，渴望出人頭地的她通過無數的考驗，終於進入青瓦臺成為了一名護衛官。 直以來的夢想就要成真，但現實總不能盡如人願，他不只和同期最不對盤的同事劉管弼（李鐘赫 飾）被指派為最佳夥伴，要守護的還是出了名的麻煩製造者~總統的兒子姜秀皓（李真旭 飾）；在幾次任務中，漸漸揭露一段總統兒子和劉管弼之間少年時期刻骨銘心的三戀秘辛，如今才造就兩個像鋼一樣的男人…，在真相呼之欲出之際，兩個男人卻又命運般地同時愛上了車永真… 。

總統之子，頭腦很好，但極討厭努力。EQ超低，非常的情緒化，還有嚴重的自虐傾向，總是神經質、自私傲慢、目中無人、蠻不講理，總之就是各種令人頭痛的性格的集合體。其實，秀皓原本並非如此，高中時他還是一個溫和、彬彬有禮、誠實的孩子，但高三時一次意外事故使他腦袋受傷，性情也大變，變成現在自我放棄的叛逆模樣 ... 。
