An American news crew is sent to Burundi, Africa to capture the legendary crocodile Gustave, which stalks a local river in search of human prey. Embattled producer Tim Manfrey (Dominic Purcell), reporter Aviva Masters (Brooke Langton), and their cameraman Steven Johnson (Orlando Jones), plus two animal experts set, out on their crocodile hunt. Thanks to CGI work and the crocodile's larger-than-life size, Gustave's screentime provides some genuine action-packed thrills. However, human cruelty might turn out more gruesome than the killer crocodile, as a local warlord, nicknamed Little Gustave, demonstrates greater brutality than the creature that he is named after.
