a very inspiring film... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The movie did a really good job telling its moral -- that everyone has their own story to tell and a dream to accomplish. It was as if this message simply penetrates into my mind through the flashing scene...it has never left my mind.

The movie itself is an imagination that everyone possess. Have you never imagine yourself meeting the one at an ordinary night in the bar? Within the hundred of people, you would spot the one in distance and knew that she will be the one to take you on to an adventure... The special effects that is supposed to be Denial Wu's inspiration also made me pause to think about my life--how life is a game, here and now.

The movie can be puzzling sometimes, especially when the flashbacks speaks for the situation. You have to really think about what has happened, and what was it that way. Once you understands, it could be an overjoyed accomplishment that you will be eager to share with others...

I was amazed by the introduction of the video game Princess D. The plot and the wing that Princess D wears--fly. I was crying at the same time, knowing that Ling and Joker isn't going to be together.

The scene of the grass field was a really nice conclusion to the story and the journey that the two went through. It reminded me of the scene when Ling and Joker was in the bart, Ling points out that anything could be possible if he believes, then rest her head on his shoulder...It's really touching, because that never really happen in reality --how a tough girl finally finds someone she can trust, and how this caring guy is is there for her to rely on... I guess the perfect love story can only exist in fairytale, which in this case, doesn't happen in the movie. It's not "forever" that keeps Joker going, it is what they once had that serves as a motivation for him to continue pursuing his dreams.

Atmospheric, but confused Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"Princess-d" appears to have been made by a committee that couldn't reach agreement on much of anything. For example, while the first quarter of the film appears to have been strongly influenced by "The Matrix" (with weird story-telling techniques and eye-popping special effects), the rest of the movie is much more conventional. For another example, some of the film's characters seem to have been included simply to get a popular personality into the movie; Edison Chen's character eats up lots of screen time, but adds virtually nothing to the film's central themes. And why, oh why, would the filmmakers put Anthony Wong and Pat Ha (who were so memorable together in "My Name Ain't Suzie") in the same movie, but then never once give them a scene together?

Nonetheless, I recommend this atmospheric film. The ill-fated relationship between Daniel Wu's earnest young computer game-maker and Lee Sinje's girl from the wrong side of the tracks desperately seeking to hold her family together is moving and effective. I will not soon forget this nicely nuanced performance by Angelica.

Boring Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
This movie was very boring. But I have to say that Edison is actually pretty good in this movie (his acting skills). I watched this movie twice just to see what i was missing but then it was pointless, it still sucked. But I did enjoy the ending though, but that was pretty much it. Princess D was the worst movie I ever watched.

slow and disappoint Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
this is a very slow movie. the movie is very dark and very sad and after watch it everyone felt like they on drug or something. everyone fell asleep in the middle of it. the role of the dad is not helpful. the role of edison is useless. daniel trying to help this girl angelina from her troubled life cuz she gots to pay a family debt and her little brother who is in constant trouble. this movie is so boring and so dull dumped it onto a friend and that friend totally dumped it in the dump. it was so bad that noone wanted it. slow and disappoint. this is my opinion therefore please respect.

boring Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
this movie is very boring i almost could not even finish it. yeah Edison looked good in it especially when he acts cool and smirks and rides his bike when he is late for work. but i just cannot stand this movie. the plot was boring. the characters were boring and two dimensional. Daniel Wu did not make a good impressive performance. Angelina Lee is supposed to be this newcomer to supposedly wow the film industry... not. this movie was boring boring boring. the story was slow and the characters were not fully developed to their fullest potential and the story of Angelina's brother getting into trouble with gangs and drugs made it even more dismal and waste of time. i really dread having bought this movie and wasted my valuable time watching it.

This movie really surprised me... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This movie really surprised me...
I started this movie expecting it to be a hour+ display of eye-candies Daniel Wu and Edison Chen. Needless to say fans of both heartthrobs will get their fill of the actors, but it's the subtle performance of Anthony Wong and thoroughly entralling showing from Angelica Lee that will blow them away. Lee's performance as a girl stuggling to support her debilitating family makes the central story of the Princess D a sideplot. Anthony Wong, though not in the movie more than 15 minutes, is heartbreaking as a father failing to suppport his two sons both financiallly and emotionally. Daniel Wu is ok as Joker, a man with more whimsical ideas than tangible ones; he isn't as wooden as some have accused him of being. Edison Chen hasn't improved his acting as much as his conversational Chinese, but his part as Kid, a handsome man-child who's trapped in a transitional phase unsure if he wants to escape, is absolutely convincing because he has the charisma to pull it off and I'm pretty that the role is close to his own personality. Actually, I believe his casting as Kid is pretty much dead-on. If anyone noticed that I didn't mention the plot at all, that's because the side-stories of the characters are what really make up the movie. What Princess D?
