Not bad. Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
doesnt add too much to the original (which is fantastic, by the way). the instrumentals are relaxing, and the quiet version of the title track is a rather interesting listen the first few times.

the pv is kinda lame, but its better than most of the other pvs off the 'heart station' album.

Prisoner of Utada's works Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Before I begin, let me state that I recently came back from a trip from the Philippines. And during my airline flights, my mp3 player mysteriously shuffled Utada Hikaru's songs one after another from my tiny Jpop playlist consisting of Ayumi Hamasaki, Funky Monkey Babys, Thelma Aoyama, SoulJa, ET-KING, and others. Even though I set my mp3 player on Shuffle, I would hear "Heart Station" to "Passion" to "Hikari" and its other versions to "Wait And See" and of course, "Prisoner of Love" in a row! My point is, it seems my mp3 player has taken a liking to Utada Hikaru's songs, for some odd reason. It still does it from time to time, and I don't blame my mp3 player, since Utada Hikaru's works have been consistently phenomenal. For those who are wondering, my mp3 player is a 30GB Creative Zen Vision M. Maybe I should carve into it, 'Creative Zen Vision Me Like Utada Hikaru.' Ahem, ok, please forgive the awfully cheap sarcasm.

Anyway, "Prisoner of Love" is just a plain joy to listen to. Before seeing the promotional video, I found the tempo, tones, pitch, and other musical terms associated with the song to be well, flawless. And I used to hate it whenever Utada Hikaru would blend English lyrics into her Japanese songs, but as far as I know, she seems to be getting the hang of blending English into her songs in an artful, nonforceful, professional, profound, and yet simple way.

Furthermore, after I saw the "Prisoner of Love" promotional video, I was stunned how gorgeous she looked. Utada Hikaru looked so cute in the video; she's practically begging to be hugged. And she looked so beautiful when she was asleep. Awww. But she would probably shadow box, like she did in the video, me to oblivion if I hugged her. Hmmm, oh well.

In conclusion, this song rocks. Plain and simple. I could care less about the other versions, quiet and whatnot, "Prisoner of Love" is just an impressive song by one of Japan's finest musical artists, Utada Hikaru. And to make your purchase even more satisfying, you get the "Prisoner of Love" promotional video in DVD quality.

Believe me, it'll grow on you. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The first time I heard this everyone else seemed to have heard it before me, and were all raving about it. So I stuck it on my iPod, determined to give it a few good listens. After the 3rd one I was totally and utterly hooked. Theres something about it... her voice, the melody, the lyrics... I'm just not sure.

It makes you want to sing along, and theres a beat in the chorus that is just amazingly relaxing. Due to its exposure on Last Friends (Japanese drama ~ check it out =D), it also makes me think of sad things but positive things.. its a very mixed bag of feelings I get when I hear it.

I love this, its now one of my favourite Hikki songs.

Utada is back!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This has to be the 2nd best OST song after Flavor of life. I love the lyrics and music. and of course her voice. However everytime I hear this song on Last Friends I get a bit sad.. also when I hear it on my mp3 and such. It's a mix song, can't really say it's a ballad nor a pop song.. it's something in beteen. No one else could sing it as good as Utada Hikaru!!
