I have been waiting for the DualShock 3 ever since the less than overwhelming experience of playing the Sixaxis, which came with my PS3 console. I found the Sixaxis too light, the build quality was mediocre, and of course there was no rumble. The DualShock 3, by contrast, has the right weight for those who are used to the old PS2 DualShock, is more sturdily put together than its inglorious PS3 predecessor, and its rumble is about as satisfying for me as a working washing machine is for the woman sat on top of it. |

Delivery of this item to UK took one week which was great. Differences compared to bundled controller with ps3: - The original controller is ever so slight transparent black whereas the dualshock 3 (DS3) is totally black - It weighs a fair bit more but not too much - Obviously enough it rumbles Other than that I cannot discern any different in terms of buttons in terms of depression feel or indeed trigger texture. The dualshock 3 makes a huge difference compared to six axis alone. It works on drakes fortune, GT5 prologue demo etc but the burnout demo is one of the recent titles where rumble is a requirement, the crashed feel far more involving. Rumble can feel localised in left and right sides as well as all over. The ergonomics of the controller are identical to the six-axis and it really does fit well into the hands. Battery life for me appears identical as the old one which is surprising. Please note the package does not come with a usb charger cable so you;ll have to use the one that game with your bundled controller. Overall this is a welcome upgrade, rumble really should have been there from the start. Sony appear to be moving forward and their hardware really is second to none, this item is no different. I can whole heartedly recommend this DS3 over the standard controller. |

Got mine the other day and it works perfect(with ps1, ps2 + ps3(which support Rumble so far)games) ;-P Good service from YesAsia.com. No point in paying £34.99(U.K England Price for a normal ps3 pad that don't rumble) For a few pounds more its WORTH IT! ;) |

| This Japanese DualShock 3 works flawlessly with the US PS3 (provided you have firmware 1.94 or higher; current is 2.01) and looks very slick. It works perfectly with PS2 games like Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and with rumble enabled PS3 games and demos (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction). The price is fair, and shipping was fast. The rumble feels more varied and dispersed than what was available last gen as well, although the technology inside the controller has not differed much from the DualShock 2. |
