An OK film! Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
The directing good but the film lacks in plot. But it has some great action scenes.

An overall Ok film to watch

Excellent! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
As a Jackie Chan fan, I decided to see this movie because he was involved in the production and I read some good reviews of it as well. It was a big surprise! I have seen other HK action films and dramas and have mostly been disappointed at the almost incomprehensible stories and poor production values. But this one is great! Daniel Wu gives a fine dramatic performance as the young man torn between "going straight" and loyalty to his father, the head of a Khymer Rouge terrorist squad. The lengths to which the father will go to gain his ends is blood-chilling, even so far as to sacrifice his own son to his ideals. Emil Chow (who I have only seen before in comedies) is surprisingly good in a dramatic role. The special effects and action are also very good (not quite Hollywood, but who cares?) And the movie actually ends WITHOUT everyone dying in a bloodbath, my usual expectation in non-Jackie HK actioners! Very good movie - highly recommended to those interested in the evolving HK film scene. And I look forward to more of Daniel Wu.

Very interesting Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
The plot is interesting. The special effect is impressive. Sound effect is good, no doubt. But the acting doesn't quite meet the expectations. Even Joan Chen didn't give an outstanding performance like one would expect she would. Kam Kwok Leung and Daniel Wu did well. Emil Chau's always-surprising expression gets dull sometime. And one big complain is that too many actors in the movie try too hard to look cool, such as the ATF team with Patrick Tam, Michael Tong, Allan Mo, Moses Chan, and such. Even Josie Ho played her role too stereotypically. Anyway, great movie, but the acting could have been better.
