This film witnesses the birth of Quill, his growth, and how Quill becomes a guide dog for the blind. How will the adorable Quill deal with his first life and death separation?
Quill is a Labrador Retriever, a breed of dog that has a great tradition of becoming guide dogs for the blind. Quill is distinguished from his brother and sisters with a bird-like birthmark on his body. It did not take long for Quill to be selected for training as a guide dog, and the first "master" Quill is sent to is Mr. Watanabe. Watanabe is a stubborn man, who believes that a walking cane is much more reliable than a guide dog. But after spending time with each other, Watanabe is moved by Quill's selfless love for him. These good times are not to last however, and Quill has to learn the pain of separation for the first time...
Directed by Sai Yoichi, Quill is the film adaptation of the bestselling novel. The story is simple yet extremely moving. It'll surely move you to tears, all you dog-lovers out there!

Little did he know that he would later meet a strange man who would become his owner/partner. The gentle Quill was teamed up with a man who first refused to take a seeing-eye dog as a company An incident occurred which caused this seemingly completely incompatible man and dog to come to reply on each other, and begin to work together. This was their first step in becoming 'life partners.'
When he walked with Quill, his partner felt the wind and could see the sky through Quill. The bond between Quill and his partner, who rediscovers the joy of life, grew deeper with each passing by... Until one day, they faced a sudden and sorrowful parting...

The story of a loyal guide dog
| "Quill" tells the life story of a labrador retriever who grows to become a guide dog for a crotchety blind man. After being treated to several scenes of Quill as an adorable puppy, we see the processes by which (a) puppies are selected to become guide dogs, (b) dogs are trained to serve as guides, and (c) blind people are trained to use guide dogs. The film then shows how the blind man's life is changed for the better through his relationship with Quill. We are amused by several humorous scenes in which the family of the blind man adjusts to life with Quill. All of this makes for fine family viewing, although the film lacks any real drama. Recommended for a general audience. |

MUST SEE!!
| I saw this movie few time ago and I love this movie very much. I love dogs althought I can't have one(because my apartment not arrow it!), Quill is a very lovely dog, and all the actess are best too, I cry at the end because Quill was dead, it so sad :(, but I still love this movie. If anyone haven't see it, must buy one and take a look!! |

| A beautiful, touching tale of the life of Quill, a dog destined for greatness. Prepare the tissues beforehand; this story is a real heart-wrencher! A wonderful film that is directed and acted beautifully...a definite MUST SEE, whether by yourself, with friends, or family! |

This movie is so very touching. Its an absolute cry-your-eyes-out movie. If you get a chance to watch it you should! Quill is such a cute and loyal dog. It will make you cry alot especially if you love dogs or have a dog. xoxo changsta |

A story on dogs?
A story on dogs?
| Who would have thought that a film on dogs would be interesting? I certainly didn't. I found it to be slow and boring film. Watch it if you love dogs, otherwise, think twice. |
