Well well... I have been waiting for this anime to come out for so long... only to find out it had been cut and re-edited with different casts voice works and scenes. Its such Totally un-original from what I've seen on the Laserdic format. This one is mainly targeted for kiddies because of the left-out nude cutscenes not to mention the speech text is also kiddies as well. Actually, I think if they would rather censor the nude scenes than to cut it, it would better blend in with the story plot without leaving you wondering what has happened earlier in the scene.

As for my personal opinion, I think its time that we get the original version (like the Laserdisc format) of the anime on CD!

 The beggining of Ranma 1/2 Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Video: The quality of the video was done nicely; it was smooth and had a nice contrast to it. It's very clear, but it is a bit blurry but I think it's to do with the show being old. It does get better however as the show progresses.

Audio: It's great, no static or anything that interrupts the audio when watching. It's very clear. Voice actors of the characters did a great job in doing a Chinese version and made it clear when the characters are happy, sad, and angry or even annoyed. The soundtracks they used for this was nicely done, the music creates a nice atmosphere for the situations they're in, whether it be fighting or a slapstick moment.

Subtitles: I can't comment on the subtitles since I cannot read Chinese. However there is some.

Story: I liked the storyline for the whole show, but in this box set lets you see the beggining of Ranma's problems and progression. The humour involved was put together nicely, espcially the interactions between each character as you can see who is closer to whom from the beggining. Already in the 1st box you see development of the characters which is nice to see. The fight scenes are done well, not super flashy or really dull and it has timed the humour nicely during those fight scenes. Romance is still there even with the comedic moments and figh scenes.

Overall: This is a must for those of you who like their harems and comedies, plus it contains lots of action to go with it. Ranma 1/2 fans of the Hong Kong version maybe a little disappointed due to the fact it's not uncut, meaning there are lots of scenes that has been cut out from some episodes due to nudity and some of the funniest scenes are missing due to it, as well as some minor parts of the story. However it does not completely ruin the main plot of the series. I also miss one thing that was used in the Hong Kong version, which was the Chinese version of the opening, too bad they weren't able to add it in the DVD collection. I hope the company who did this would make an uncut version since its on DVD.
