YesAsia Editorial Description
Infernal Affairs co-director Alan Mak helms Rave Fever, an offbeat and wildly entertaining comedy set in the flashy world of underground rave parties. Don (Mark Lui) is a harried yuppie whose search for a mysterious woman named Sonia leads to bizarre and possibly dangerous situations! The morning after the two share a one night stand, Sonia disappears, but Don still has her filofax. Retracing his nocturnal steps, he meets a boatload of quirky characters who either know - or have known - the mystery woman. He also meets the seductive Nicole (sexy Jaymee Ong), who enjoys multiple partners and may not be on the up-and-up. The filofax leaves Don's hands and ends up with Ashley (Yoyo Mung), who falls for the handsome, but troubled Steven (Terence Yin), who evidently was Sonia's former flame. Soon Ashley comes to believe that Sonia may be the victim of foul play - and all signs point to oddball partygoer Gordon (the hilarious Sam Lee)! Is Ashley dead? What does Nicole know? And is Gordon really a bloody murderer? The answers are surprising and unexpected in Rave Fever, a stylish and sexy comedy that's undeniably creative, irretrievably cool, and breathlessly entertaining!

HK Beautiful People
Fun entertainment, a comedy-mystery, infused by techno music and Hong Kong's schicki-micki beautiful people. No heavy issues. No violence. Cool sounds. Beautiful women. A wacky Sam Lee. Twists and turns leading to a surprise ending. There should be more films like this and if they star Jaymee Yong and YoYo Mung, even better. In respect of the dvd itself, the picture is good quality and the English sub-titles are clear.

A good movie for something different
This movie is funny & creative in the way they unfold the story. The same incident is shown 3 times through different angles and it just keeps you interested trying to figure out what happened. The music isn't "rave" like in the US or Europe but it's still cool. Jaymee Ong cusses a lot though and Sam's hair is really terrible!

A fun and entertaining movie
I really liked this movie. The movie is done in the vain of a Pulp Fiction or Go from the US. The director does a good job at presenting the story of a "missing person" from several different and distinct viewpoints. The plot is set in motion after a Mark Lui has a wild night with a woman. He has no memory of her other than the blue organizer she left behind and tries to locate her. The organizer changes hands several times and everyone that comes in contact with it intermixes as the movie goes on. It's a clever and fun movie that doesn't rely on over the top action or slapstick comedy. A lot of good performances especially YoYo Mung, Sam Lee, Terence Yin, and especially Jaymee Ong (she's gorgeous and has a great on screen presence - need to see more of her please). Enjoy
