Helmed by actor-cum-director Parkman Wong (Final Justice), the 1992 police actioner Red Shield is another crime-fighting offering from Hong Kong cinema's resident cop Danny Lee. This time he ventures into Michael Wong territory by donning SDU tactical gear, alongside odd couple partner Leung Ka Yan (Odd Couple). The cast is packed with familiar names including Nick Cheung (Election 2), Teresa Mo (Hard-Boiled), Shing Fui On, Yuen Wah, and Corey Yuen.
SDU inspector Cheung (Danny Lee) and inspector Wong (Leung Ka Yan) of the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) may have opposite personalities, but together they represent the best and the bravest of the Hong Kong police force. The two become reluctant partners when they are tapped to head Mission Red Shield. Their target: a notorious drug and weapons smuggling ring led by Dragon Ho (Ben Lam). Dragon Ho has a gang of deadly assassins at his bidding, but Cheung and Wong's combined efforts slowly force the mob boss into a corner. When Wong guns down one of the assassins, however, the mission turns personal as he becomes the gang's vengeful target.

A new gang headed by Ho Lung, rose up in the underworld of Hong Kong. The gang was well equipped with modern weapons and was willing to kill anybody who got a hand into their illegal business. Hong Kong Royal Police Force called upon a special team formed with the elites in the police force, led by Mr Cheung Ti Chi (Lee Sau Yin) and Mr Wang Chi Keung (Leung Ka Yan) to fight against the gang. They destroyed Ho Lung and his weapon trading. In revenge, Ho Lung captured two Inspectors' wives - Mou Mou and Jacqueline, and kidnapped them to a deserted island. Two inspectors set off to the island immediately. After going through many difficulties, they were finally able to eliminate the gang's headquarters, and successfully arrested Ho Lung back to Hong Kong.
