A great movie, although a bit off the mainstream Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
The movie provides great performances from the actors and shows, how great effects are achieved via colour or camera. Although the story isn't really bad, it's pretty simple.
A definitive highlight in the whole movie is the performance of korean singer Kang-Ta. Alone this has also brought me to buy the OST. ^^ I recommend it for viewing in bed or relaxing. Nevertheless it's an entertaining piece of cinema for everyone, who has a slight knowledge of colour and camera.

Weird but entertaining Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
The storyline is kind of weird, and the ending was somewhat confusing, but it's still entertaining, and gives you something to think about.
PS: Unlike the Mandarin description of this product, AnChilHyun(KangTa) wasn't a villain in this movie. In fact, he was a player in the game, and would have been the ultimate winner. But he died before the girl, and before the main actor ever get in to the game. Also, in the translation I got, the game's goal was not to save the girl, but to let her die of cold, like it was in the story. And to be the ultimate winner, you don't just have to let her die, you have to be the person she dream about at the moment she die, the person that she fell in love with.

Matrix-esque... yes... but so much more! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I am a HUGE fan of asian cinema from the mainstream to the off-beat. I have seen this film subtitled in English.

For those who claim it fails as a Matrix rip-off... what do they say to Avalon? True, it fails as a parody given the ludicrous sums spent (check out fanforce.net to see what kids can do on their home computers...) on the production... however, there is more to it than just that.

If you are familiar with the Hans Christian Andersen story (The Little Match Seller... it is NOT a poem!!!) then you understand my point. Much like the story, our protagonist is not meant for his reality... just as the parodying of the Matrix-esque effects of today reflects the director's displeasure with movie-dom's direction (FX over story).

So, please folks, take this movie for what it is... an action movie that had the potential to be something deeper, but that can still entertain. I loved and own it!!!

Half finished... Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Very spiritual action movie.

Good concept marred by wrong production design... Busy copying Matrix, Ghost In The Shell, Natural Born Killers... 70's Korean pop culture didn't mix well with 00's digital culture.

Story line too has some problem. Director's idea about no discrimination of reality and virtual reality is only achived visually. On the storyline there is a clear distinction between reality and virtual reality.

Director's lack of in depth knowledge in current
Korean pop culture also helped to create a half baked plot.

Could have been a lot better if climax was bigger in terms of scale and other character's participation. Looks too lonely last fight...

Original score is superb. Good job Dal Pa ran !

It is easy to say this movie is really boring... But I personally love it.
