YesAsia Editorial Description

Girls with guns go cybersexy in the classic Hong Kong exploitation flick Robotrix. A combination of Robocop, Charlie's Angels, and bawdy Russ Meyer obsessions, this 1991 Category III Hong Kong Cinema classic features 90's pin-up girl Amy Yip in one of her most popular roles: as a robot law enforcer who discovers life's carnal pleasures thanks to the horny antics of her fellow cops, who are supposed to be working but spend more time than they should ogling her generous assets. She disguises herself as a call girl and hilarity ensues.

There's also a regular plot: an evil scientist has implanted his brain into a cybernetic body (played by martial arts regular Billy Chow), and goes on a rape-and-murder crime spree that the regular cops are ill-equipped to handle. Among his first victims is cop Linda (Aoyama Chikako), who dies leaving her fellow cop boyfriend David Wu distraught. But she's resurrected in an identical robot body, and can now roughhouse robot-style thanks to her cybernetically-enhanced form. Once she joins forces with two other comely robot cops (including Amy Yip), the bad guys - and any red-blooded males in the vicinity - had better watch out! Serving up sex, violence, and silliness with a smirk, Robotrix has earned a cult following among trashy cinema aficionados everywhere.

Silly, but entertaining Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
I watched this movie a couple times ten years ago and was interested to see how I would react to it upon viewing this Joy Sales version. I was pleasantly surprised to find it quite watchable. On the plus side: The movie has a great villain who makes you keep watching to see him get his due, Amy Yip did a surprisingly good job in her fight scenes, and Chikako Aoyama was a joy to watch throughout. On the negative side: David Wu was a disastrously amateurish actor, the soundtrack is terribly muddy, and many of the scenes, including the opening fight scene between the German and American "robots", are cheesy almost beyond words. Still, on balance, the movie provides an enjoyable, if empty-headed, diversion.

bad sound track Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
The HK version has muffled sound track that seem like the film was made decades ago and transferred from reel. Storyline is mediocre, thought the three actress are breastly and took turns to be banged by the bad guy.Would rather preferred not to have bought this movie though, since so many with quality storyline around.

Robocop meets Terminator in HK Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
How can a U.S. Version of a Film not have subtitles in English? Anyways, the film basically follows the plotline of Robocop except: the officer is a female, the robot uses martial arts and not a super awesome gun and the movie revovles more around "eye candy" and the appeal of its leads over anything else (obviously, the setting is differnt too). Some action sequences are quite interesting, though obviously this movie wasn't made on a hollywood budget.

If you think any of the cast members are attractive, then you should watch this movie...cause it seems like the whole point was to show them off, this is not to say the story isn't well written or executed... its just like any other HK film.

If you can sort of speak Mandarin or Cantonese then you'll understand the film, since nothing the characters say (or do) is too advanced or complex.
