Rolls, Rolls, I Love You (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3

In this hilariously titled film (a pun on Rose, Rose, I Love You), a hardworking young man named Ah Tan (Robert Mak Tak Law, from Disco Bumpkins and Eight Diagram Pole Fighter) is minding his own business while bicycling down a busy Hong Kong intersection, only to find himself getting into a heated argument with a man cruising along in his nifty Rolls Royce. When the argument spins out of control, the furious Ah Tan later attempts to sabotage the man's pricey automobile, but is instead thrust into the middle of a high stakes wager! It seems that the wealthy businessman is named Tsui Tung Cheng (Chan Koon Tai, from The Teahouse, Executioners from Shaolin, and The Water Margin), and he's eager to make a bet. His conditions are simple: if Ah Tan and his buddies can successfully steal his Rolls Royce, then they can keep it. However, if they fail, then they owe Mr. Tsui a grand total of fifty thousand dollars!

Ah Tan and pals accept the challenge, and embark on a hilarious game of cat and mouse with the cunning tycoon, as both the bicycle-bound Ah Tan and the Rolls Royce-enabled Tsui Tung Cheng end up racing one another through the crazy traffic of downtown Hong Kong? Will the young underdogs come out on top? Or will they be forced to cough up fifty grand? Find out in the thrill-a-minute conclusion of Rolls, Rolls, I Love You, a 1982 action comedy from director Chiang Lung that also features Chin Siu Ho (Mr. Vampire, The Tai Chi Master), and Liu Yu Po (Shaolin Intruders) in supporting roles!

Chien Hsiao-hou gets the chance to show some nifty moves in this rather tongue-in-cheek titled Rolls, Rolls, I Love You. Chien plays Dealer, a restaurant waiter who comes to the aid of his friend Ah Tan (Mai Tak-lo) when the latter is challenged by billionaire Tsui Tung-cheng (Chen Kuan-tai) to a high stakes bet. If they win, they get to keep his Rolls Royce – but first they have to cough up $50,000 for the stakes.
