Poignant Love Story
Poignant Love Story

This is a wonderful, magical love story so well done it could have been a feature. Jung Da-bin, who plays Nam Jeung-eun, committed suicide a week and a half ago. I've watched this show three times and it still has magic. It is sadly tragic that this wonderful actress is no longer with us. As the previous reviewer said she will be missed. I couldn't believe it when I saw her memorial photo with black bands on a KBS news show about her death. I still can't believe it happened. My wife and I offer our sincerest condolences to her family, friends and fans. |

This is a very cute, fun drama. I was actually surprised at the last 3 reviews given for this drama. This is a light-hearted drama, and that is what i liked about it, because all the dramas seem to be about death and cancer. So this was refreshing to watch. Both actor and actress had very good chemestry and that is what made the movie. The actress actually commited suicide recently for those of you who did not hear of the news. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends. She will be missed. |

repetitive
|
The series was repetitive: same arguments, same complaints, same misunderstandings over and over and over again. There were no characters with whom you can actually root for - sooner or later you get sick of all of them except the noble boss. Overrated and wouldn't recommend this. |

have to be in the mood
have to be in the mood
| have to be in the mood to watch this show cuz it gots a lot of repeat scenes of the same subject matter. the main actress jung da bin is always arguing with the main actor kim rae won. they always arguing about the food and clothes. he is lazy and takes advantage of her. he takes her money and keeps arguing that she never buys meat. he keeps saying that living with her he feels he is like a goat always eating vegetables and no meat. and she does everything. she cleans the house. she do the laundry. she earns the money. his excuse is that he goes to school to study law. and they argue like this almost in every episode. after a while it gets boring. but if you in a good mood it is easy to watch this. if you in a bad mood you better find another show that will make you laugh. it gets tired and boring after a while because they argue a lot. |

Overall Good
| The series was good. At first, I was rooting for the boss to get the girl in the end but I'm glad that it didn't work out that way. He just didn't seem passionate enough for me and Kyung Min, although a bit of a scoundrel, was actual the perfect match. The ending could have been a bit better, but after seeing them pull out matching rings, you know what's going to happen. |

My favorite so far!
| I love this TV series. Both Kim Rae-Won and Jung Da Bin are great and fun to watch. Even if I was having a hard day, I would just think about the latest episode and laugh. It is a lighthearted show most of the time and you see the struggles of young love. I highly recommend and it has great subtitles. |

Who is the Cat on the Rooftop?
Who is the Cat on the Rooftop?
|
"Rooftop Room Cat" is about Jeong-Eun (Jung Da-Bin) who has big dreams and hopes to make something of herself in the city of Seoul in Korea. She had finished high school and would love to attend a good college, but she cannot afford it. She delivers newspapers in the early morning and peels garlic, with this money she earns from these little jobs, she saves it and hopes to move out on her own. But one day, her little brother takes the money and spends it all. And to make matters more unpleasant, her family is moving out of Seoul. Jeong-Eun meets Kyung-Min (Kim Rae Won) at a college (where she is not a student of, but she goes their to read and study in the library). At first, they have misunderstandings about each other. Kyung-Min finds out that Jeong-Eun is friends with & were former high school classmates with Hye-Ryun (Choi Yoon Jin). Kyung-Min has a major crush on Hye-Ryun, but Hye-Ryun cannot stand him. He wants to score points with Hye-Ryun, so he starts to treat Jeong-Eun nice, so that Jeong-Eun can say good things about him to Hye-Ryun. Jeong-Eun thinks he is a nice guy, but later finds out that he is only using her. Kyung-Min had lent money to Jeong-Eun. When he has no place to go, he goes and lives with Jeong-Eun. She does not want him to live with her, but she let's him because he lent her the money. If is wasn't for his money, she wouldn't be living there. He is very bad, he takes her hard earned money and spends it to buy presents for Hye-Ryun. Jeong-Eun meets a man (Lee Hyun-Woo) who is the boss of an advertising company. She meets him in the park. She is frustrated with Kyung-Min because he used her. She had made 2 lunch boxes, 1 for her and 1 for Kyung-Min. But since she cannot give it to Kyung-Min, she gives it to this boss. Later, they meet again when she goes for a job interview at his company. Jeong-Eun has a crush on Kyung-Min. Kyung-Min likes Hye-Ryun. Hye-Ryun likes the boss. The boss likes Jeong-Eun. OMG, with all these different crushes, who will end up with who? Many times I wished Jeong-Eun will go with the boss of the advertising company. I think Lee Hyun-Woo is very handsome and his character is very nice. Kyung-Min is very conceited and arrogant. He only thinks about himself. Is he the cat on the rooftop? Because he is always mooching off of Jeong-Eun. |

"...a pleasant surprise!"
| I Just watched this wonderful series on AZN and what a pleasant surprise! Kudos to Kim Rae-won and Jung Da-bin. The chemistry between them made the story so believable and heart-warming. Thank you AZN for bringing this funny, uplifting drama to American Television. I just wish the CD soundtrack was still available. Anyone know where I can still get a copy?...Jim Miller, Columbus, Ohio, USA |

Frustrated
| It is so frustrating to watch a female charactor falls for a useless, self-absorbed, manipulative, and a compulsive liar. She should be intelligent enough to know the right man for her is her boss (caring, understanding, supportive, and gave her a chance to better herself.) There are too many women that falls for liars in real life...we don't need to see more. If the ending was better, I would highly recommend it. |

Meow!!!
Meow!!!
| I hate to admit it, but I finished watching this movie in 2 days. Both leads did an excellent job, and the movie was true to having the female lead not be very attractive. The pace enables the viewer to finally understand why someone as HOT as Kim Rae Won can fall in love with someone who is so unsophisticated. There were many many funny moments which will have you burst out laughing. And although, KRW's character lies all the time, he does such a good job of convincing the viewer that he comes across adorable. Kudos to the stylists for KRW's outfits! Intelligent Writing! Great Acting! Highly recommended! |
