Kisou (Japan Version)
April 11, 2006 A classic.Kisou will be one of the best Dir en grey albums every released. The band pull so many different emotions into one packed album. My favorite track has to be the chaotic ZOMBOID. (Mainly because I'm a very big Shinya fan.) I adore the fast-pace drumming in the song, not to mention something about Kyo's voice has me on my feet in seconds. Not going to spoil much, just encourage anyone trying to decide which album to buy, to BUY IT! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

April 11, 2006 VULGAR[ism]VULGAR is a special treat for any Dir en grey fan. I love this CD because every track seems to be a definite loud cry from the band's very souls. They shine as musicians on this album. Just listening to the opening track (audience KILLER LOOP) got me excited for the entire album. THE IIID EMPIRE, OBSCURE, KASUMI all blew me away with their intense, but captivating tense melodies and Kyo's emotional harsh vocals. Definitely a must have. Did you find this review helpful? Withering to death (Japan Version)
April 11, 2006 Withering to death.I will admit, I was not a big fan of this album once I first got my hands on it. I think what really rekindled my interest in this album, was the release of the 'dead tree' PV only recently. It made me stop and think about where Dir en grey was going, and what they were trying to portray with this album. Listening to this album again, plunged me into a world of such dark beauty and angst, I fell in love with the band all over again. This album is quite hard, but the music I find to be so sublime that you have to listen. It's really quite entrancing, and I support their diversty. It's quite silly to try and sort this band into a catagory stereotype like "Nu-metal" and "Wannabe Hardcore." Dir en grey cannot be sorted. This album is an aquired taste, but it will definitely grow on you. I encourage any new-comer to the band to pick it up, and other fans to pick it up and give it a third or fourth listen to.
